  • Halfway........are we staying up or going down?

My heart says we'll stay up, but my head is saying we're going down.

Too many games where we haven't taken our chances is going to cost us.

I can see 4 thousand Rangers up at Man City singing 'Daydream Believer' as they celebrate winning the title.

Will be like Forest away in '96.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Tbh with the points everyone around us picking up against teams a lot of this board thought they wouldn't we are in it big time
These other teams have the experience of getting out of it and think it's starting to show ,
Even with new signings unless They are of a seriously good standard and we dont pick up at least 6 points out of next 4 games I honestly can't see us staying up

I agree. Many of the so-called weaker teams are still in this league because they know how to scrap for points. Who'd have expected Blackburn to beat Man Utd?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Same for me. Where have all these 'QPR are a mid table side' posters disappeared to?

While we are NW's 'one more chance in the PL', I'm not so sure.

I was convinced that we would stay up as there are worse teams than us, but look at Blacknurns and Wigans players, they are defo behind the manager, then compare them to our players.

Down if we dont bring in any good players in January and Neil persists on enjoying the moment instead of focusing on correct team management + tactics. Neil needs to grow a pair when it comes to Barton aswell.

TBH I really thought we would be doing a lot better than this after the signings and I was totally wrong.

Either I don't know enough about football or NW and the players have not done as well as they should....maybe both.

We'll stay up. The chances we missed combined against the likes of Newcastle, WBA & Blackburn was enough to win 5 games. That bad luck will even itself out. Plus can some of our better players get any worse? I'd say no which means they can only get better meaning better performances = better results.

That's my take on it anyway.

Only worrying thing for me reading the paper this morning, Olly said in his article that Blackpool had 26 (I think he said) points at the same stage & they went down. We need a big points haul in January to put us all at ease.

Swansea and Norwich are punching well above their weight and as the season progresses into March and April they will falter as IMHO they don't have the players with the experience to fight for survival.

On the other hand we are currently on a shocking run, 2 points from the last 21, and will improve enough to stay up. I don't think we'll go on some amazing run of games, but will pick up points here and there but do it consistently. It only takes 1 point per game to stay up. We are just off that but by the end of January with 3 points from Wigan, a point each from Newcastle and Norwich and we are back on track.

Just got to keep the faith
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!
