You can talk about Larsson etc as much as you like, but he was class at all levels, Jelavic isn't!

He will do ok but thats it, i'm not worried about signing him, it's the fee we're spunking on him

As someone who has seen every international fixture he has played in, i would have to say that he has been very good at that level and that his lack of goals has been more to do with position played, a missfiring team and bad luck. He also has a fair amount of assists not shown in that record.

Yakubu, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Kenwynn Jones, Odemwingie, Zamora and Steven Fletcher.

Then you have plenty of options outside the premiership, Gary Hooper for example. Ricky Lambert at Southampton probably be bought for £2.5-3m, Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield, Lambert and Rhodes far better options than paying a big sum for Jelavic.

We need some one who is a natural goal scorer. I dont think Jelavic is a bad player, but i'm not convinced he's much better than what we already have. We need some one that will guarantee us goals because otherwise we'll go down

Yeah, miss firing Team. If we weren't we would have won all 12 as it was a weak group. Anyway, Jelavic is more than good enough and in my view not a gamble at but a bargin. After a year in the prem with us he'll be worth alot more than 7 Million and we would most likely have trouble keeping hold of him. See Modric gamble, from a worse league, for more info. Now if we were looking to sign the likes of Zigic then i'd go give Warnock a slap.
