    Dropped Points this year

    Pleased today with a point but have to say that we have to start winning when we play well. I have seen every game this year and we really should have won the following games.

    Newcastle
    Villa
    West Brom
    Norwich
    Swansea

    That is 11 points dropped. We also deserved a point against City.

    Team is looking very good though, need to eradicate the stupid mistakes, but at the moment it is still so good to be competing at this level.

    To be honest, I'd class today as a point gained more than two lost. Great to come back from a goal down at a stadium not many teams score at.

      I know where you are coming from and have said on other posts we should have gone for it more at the end but you have to put out of your mind all this stuff about "points dropped". There is not a team in the land that can't point to this game or that game that they should have won. Over a season the league pretty accurately reflects how good you are. We have failed to score enough crucial goals because other than Heider we don't have anyone who can score, and we have let in a lot of sloppy goals because the centre of our defence isn't very good. Its not that we have been "robbed" or failed to take advantage. It is just that we aren't that good.

        Fully agree with this, brown Tongue is a phrase that comes to mind!..but these really are comments that can't be argued with...

          With a better quality forward line we'd have won all those games. As much as you cannot fault HH he really is a one trick pony, cross it in and he'll head it. Need better quality in Jan, and hope we get it.

          Never said that we've been robbed, just that we should have won those games based on our performance and domination.

            Yep, but blackburn, bolton, wigan etc wd all say the same - if only we had this, that or the other.

              I got slated after the Sunderland game for saying I'd take being out if the bottom 3 at Xmas at the start of the season...as long as we had beaten Chelsea.. I was pretty much told I was a Charlie uniform November tango...I accept that point of view...

              But those 3 points keep us out of the bottom 3!..that said..after the arsenal game we could do with between 18-24 points before paddy's day!
