Amusing thing is.....Half the posters on this board will say that Mackie was our best player/hero today because he scored! Compare the two of them over the 90 mins and who had more impact on the game performance wise.

Adel was superb today. Even when he gets the ball and holds it he draws in 1 or 2 more players creating space for others.

Love him/Hate him - nobody can deny we look a lot more dangerous and creative with him on the pitch. He must play.

          Well said lads.

          Mason-Ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Face facts for once in your life & admit the player you wrote off before he destroyed the ccc last year is our best player.

51 out of 52 passes completed and not all of them was that tippy tappy 2 yard sideways s**t that the swans done. Beats a man with ease, draws 2 or 3 players around him when he has the ball, and is our only player apart from maybe faurlin who has superb vision to see a pass no one else on the pitch can. Put more quality clever players around him who can read what he is about to do he will go on to be a top top player at this level.

Then we have Joey Barton on 80k a week who commited a foul throw.

              Great post Robbo.

Said to my mate at the game certain passes are seen as bad passes but in reality he's 2 steps ahead of everyone else. That is not his fault that is because as you said we have inferior players around him.

Amazing stats but paul mason will comment on some below par corners. Jesus wept. Clutching at straws comes to mind.

Personally I don't look at things like that after such a decent performance.

Yes they were under par but no worse than Barton's have been all season.

He's played better in 150 mins than Barton has all season.

Didnt see last nights game as it was 3am for us, and really couldnt be arsed..based on our last few performances..

Reading all the reports across various boards both Faurlinj and Tarbs had great games ? correct me if I'm wrong

But if they are both clas, why is it Faurlin can do it consistently against big and small clubs but Tarbs can only doing when playing smaller Championship level clubs for 90 mins....?

There is no doubt he has talent, but why does it only show against the likes of Swans and Norwich etc....? Is it because he not a great premiership player in reality?

Just a thought...i'll put my tin hat on now shall I before all the worshipers start ?

I'm not going to get into a spat with individuals but I do sometimes wonder if certain posters genuinely don't get it, or whether they miss the point deliberately.

Tabs also played last season against Swansea, so what is the point being made here? What Ric and others were trying to explain was that our passing now looks so much improved with Adel back in the team. Take out his inventiveness and we look a Championship side. No one is saying he is a model pro or a wonderful guy or a Rangers fan through and through - just that he makes us look at least half a Prem side. If you don't see it like that, there prob isn't any point arguing.

I only wonder if certain posters wd be happier supporting Watford, say, because there is a side long noted for route one, hack it clear, hoof it up to the big guy football - full of honest endeavour. But that is not what I thought Rangers stood for, or why I started supporting us in '76. Its flair and skill that gets me off my seat. If others want to call the kind of players I like indulgent, fair enough, but would Marsh, Bowles, Currie, Stainrod or Weagerle have ever made their first team? Hey, but don't worry - there would always be room for a Marcus Bean...

I prefer to watch a team put out by Arsene Wenger, others might prefer watching one drilled by Mick McCarthy. Of course you need grit, particularly for a newly promoted side, and none of those who have remained loyal to Adel have ever questioned that. But you also need magic. Its about balance. And without Adel we don't have enough skill to unlock defences often enough.

Call me old fashoined but I also think football should be about entertainment. Some get a kick out of watching Shaun Derry chasing shadows, sweating, standing in the way, fouling in frustration - fair play to you. I prefer watching Adel Taarabt. And so, it seems, do lots of other Rs.

                              Excellent post & spot on.

In a nutshell for those that don't get the point of this thread. With Adel in the team we will win a lot more games & gain a lot more points than without him in the team.

                              It really is that simple.

As Stainrod said if people can't see that its probably worth reserving your energy & not bother replying because we obviously view football & the players that play it in a very different way.

Sky gave him man of the match actually.

Agree he was poor 1st half but improved dramatically 2nd half as did many others.
