So Adal better step up and start scoring the goals himself cos no matter how superb his assists are we don't have the players to read his passes to latch on to score.
Adel, its your only way into Brisbane's good books !!

Dave - many thanks mate, much appreciated.

Brisbane - if you are going to dig someone out for their English probably best to check your online dictionary before typing "sylabel". Just a tip.

Paul - I thought we had moved on and I had replied in agreement to a couple of your posts recently. I also made a point right at the very start yesterday of saying I wasn't going to have a row with individual posters. With the greatest respect it seems to be you with the itch that you can't resist scratching - mentioning Ric and I by name to try to provoke a response, seeming to accept you were completely wrong about Tabs and then appearing to agree with a post that was back to telling us what a limited footballer he is. Ho hum.

For the record I've never said Tabs is a Messi or a Ronaldo - just a bit more talented than anyone else currently on our books.

Anyway, as you appear to agree it was Tabs who "shat" all over Swansea last season, lets all hope he puts in a performance against Arsenal, eh?

I've just come back from a 12 mile bike ride with my kids and am cream crackered - anyone who wants a row maybe can carry on by yourself and we'll touch base in the morning, yes? Compliments of the season anyway.

So just for you my little soldiers I will repeat myself for a third time. Its really simple. Are you ready?

With Taarabt in the team we will without doubt earn more points & win more games than with him out of the side.

Was that clear enough? If not let me know & will copy & paste it for you because that really is my point from post 1.

Anyway having a great day with my kids & stopped off for a hot chocolate so feel free to carry on.

And just for you darling (and the kid i was ranting at Dale?)

did i not say in a earlier post, on the same thread that Tarbs is prob our best player?..read for yourself...
I also said that does not necc. make him a good prem player, just makes the rest of our team sh*^te........

Not sure he helped us out at swansea and i saw the game twice...., but dont think anyone else we have on our books would have done much better..

So, as for earning more points with him in the team..as per your point.."the jury is still out"

we've created plenty of chanceas without him in MOST other games, just not scored.
If you're telling me he would have scored them then i disagree, if your telling me we would have created more, id say whats the point when we cant score?
If he starts scoring for fun (as most wish he would) then i will VERY HAPPILY appologise, but to be honest i dont see it happening
Not till next year when we're in the championship anyway !! (dale that was sarcasm- spelling)
So me and my walking stick are gonna go sit on the beach at Surfers Paradise and think about it.

We've tried Tarbs in the prem and it hasnt worked, better managers than NW have also come to the same conclusion.
Think about it, If Harry couldn't get him playing after the miricles he worked with the aging Pompey squad... do you think Colin can ?

I wish Tarbs all the best, thank him greatly for last year (along with Derry) and hope he has a happy life...

Lets move forward eh? as we're fast running out of time for trials....

Hope that was clear and my appologies for any spelling mistakes and gramatical errors !!

And that graphic is a perfect example as to why AT should never be played on either wing, but behind the striker letting him roam. One more thing, one pass into the business part of the pitch is nothing to shout about, but it does show he was getting his head up which is better.

i may be wrong but i counted 9 forward passes..again..i watched the game and cant say anyone had a blinder

I havent slated him for having a bad game in this post..i've just stated that I personally dont believe he's a good premiership player..that still stands..

I would love him to prove me wrong but...i'm still waiting and we're fast approaching the jan window..
we'll see by the end of the season i guess, which wil prob be too late!

                      • Failed for who Taarabt?

He made 52 passes. Of which 51 were successful.

Not much to show if he puts that up.

                          • It is undeniable that with Taraabt in the side, the ball moves forward more and with more fluency, without him, watching a static Joey Barton and Faurlin doing all the midfield work, we simply do not have a clue.
We are a better attacking side with Adel, and simply more creative.

                              Definitely.
What you see much better if you're at the game, rather than watching on TV, is what AT does off the ball -- drawing players and making moves which leave the opposition undecided on what to do, because, given that free role, he pops up in unexpected places, and they really don't know whether to track him or leave it to the nearest men to pick him up.
His passes, whilst not always into a danger area, are often as unpredictable as he is, and have the oppo scrambling to cover areas they didn't have covered; lots of those passes at Swansea also were part of some nice one touch moves.
Added to that a 98% pass completion rate, and it shows why he is such an asset.
The increased level of cooperation between him and Barton 2nd half was also a big step forward for both of them -- Barton looks better for having a better player to link up with and perhaps it might be the key to a more successful 2nd half to this season.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

                              • The link up play between Derry, Faurlin and Adel against Swansea was the best we've seen since last season. Faurlin and Adel looked much better and happier.

We look better with Adel in the side and although I would contemplate starting with a midfield containing Barton, I don't think on current form Barton should start. I actually hoped he'd pick up a red for his v. late challenge 2nd half, and give us 3 games to see how we actually do without him. Not being negative, just think our best midfield would be -
