Statement from Neil Warnock in his Independent column.

'For my Christmas wish I'd like whoever runs Twitter to go bankrupt'

    Hmmmm wonder why?

if Joey Barton landed on the moon he would find someone to pick a fight with within half an hour

better he does it on twitter than on the lash in some nightclub on a friday night

basically its ****** and as mentioned above its cheap exposure for someone by simply getting involved with Barton,

Dont care about it but I do think its time he delivered on the pitch, sharpish
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

              seriously..

this guy is the club captain of a premiership london based football team.....
how much spare time should he have on 80 k a week

i work my nuts off for that a year and dont get that much time free....

Now i could understand it if he was anywhere near an international player, but he aint and never has been....

as stated before..if he was any good he wouldnt be with us and would sir alex, wenger etc ever let this go on with one of thier very average players? i think not...

his twittering is affecting his game i believe, in the same way JT court case affects his game. It doesnt have to be direct but it can affect concentration..

obviously i cant prove this, in the same way nobody can prove i'm wrong; but think of times in your life when you've had something going on..(your misus shagging your best mate?) and tell me it didnt affect your work..?

              just a thought?!

How anyone really believes that what someone does or doesn't do on a social network site affects their game is totally beyond me - in fact the only thing worse than twitter is people moaning about people tweeting. If you don't like it then don't read it - then you won't get wound up and feel the need to bore us all stupid with inane comments about other people's inane comments.

ps would love to see a copy of a contract that shows he is on 80k a week - it seems to have become gospel...

so if you spent all your spare time tweeting, would it not affect your work? do you not need to sleep? eat etc?....
it is a distraction in the same way people ha a go at the england squad for gambling (micheal owen)..did that not affect then or what..

Q, for you...is JB so well dedicated to his job that any outside influence could not affect his overall performance of his work?..
                      now..
if you say yes..then he is a shite player p- because he hasnt fronted or delivered this season..if you say no..then you lose- because twitter affects him..!!

                      this should be fun........?

So you can prove tweeting or whatever it's called is affecting his game?

When we were winning football matches, the twitter posts did not get a mention.

He probably spends very little time on Twitter in context of the hours in a day.

The problem some have for bad results is needing a scapegoat. Cannot touch the owners, cannot touch the manager so the next one down is the club captain.

I don't think he has played particularly well in the last 2 games, but what he does in his spare time is totally irrelevant.
