  • He's Off Again Zzzzzzz #barton

Having a twitter row with Mc Harvey of So Solid crew fame who very correctly called Joey a 'bang average player' can't argue with that from what I've seen so far.

Has he nothing better to do with his life? Like seriously. I thought he'd be tweeting AGAIN how shite he was & that all will be made up for at Swansea..... Nope not a d!ckie bird.

Wouldn't mind if he was turning it on, on the pitch but he's not. He must be dying to finish games to get his phone out.

Come on Joey lodge the tweeting & put all your focus into being a captain of a Premiership side who need your leadership skills & talent at this very important time.

Ric, we spend just as much time reading his tweets. I still see nowt wrong with it. Up to him what he does in his spare time, and no one else. Would be like someone telling us not to get into scrapes, or that you shouldn't drink at weekends.

I do agree he needs to perform. That winds me up, no end. He's not a captain on merrit. If only Neil had the stones to take it off him and give it to Anton.

I don't read his tweets mate I think he's boring. My mate just sent me the link to my Blackberry saying 'look numb nuts is off again' & read it.

We are not captains of Premiership football clubs who are struggling. Yes he an do what he likes but personally to me it looks like more of an obsession than a mere hobby.

Plus from what I have seen its 80% negative stuff.

Agreed, but it's still his spare time, mate.

I won't argue on his performances. It's starting to look really bad on him now.

Not good enough & its not just his performances that are the problem.

          Anyway I must

I spend a lot of time on twitter and Facebook. There's nothing wrong with it at all. Don't understand why people get so wound up about it. It's not the end of the world if a footballer wants to air his views. I will agree that he needs to up his game. No doubt about that. But to blame his time on twitter for his lack of form is a bit silly imo.

Who's blaming his lack of form on twitter?

Think you need to re read the op. Its not rocket science what the point is that I'm making.

BTW not calling you silly ric. It just seems silly to me that a social network site is being seen as the reason for his lack of form.

mate your telling joey to stop the tweeting and get on with football. It looked as if you reckon its distracting him too much. If I've got the wrong end of the stick then apologies.

Again mate no one is blaming his obsession with twitter for his lack of form but more the fact is that all he concentrates his time & efforts on. Plenty of sportsman have a twitter account but all he seems to do is have confrontation. He can tweet til the sun comes up but as I said does it always have to be the way it is?

Do you think NW & the club read them tweets & have a wee little chuckle? I doubt it some how. Probably more along the lines of ffs joey turn it in will ya.

Joey gets trolled countless times and always fall for it

A shame he cant reach out to fans on there like he did when he was at Newcastle

Says a lot about his respect for the club

No need for apologies mate its all about opinions.

He just gets on my wick. You lads are probably right it prob has absolutely no effect on his performances but when I see him playing like a fairy & other things I've been told for fact its enough for me to just think. F#ck off Joey.

I think we are all frustrated with his performances mate. He was hyped up as a marquee signing and failed to live up to the billing. SWP is the same for me. Maybe with better players (hopefully) coming in January we will start to see what hes really capable of.

                              Let's hope so mate.

Delighted we are where we are & really am enjoying the ride but as you say frustration does kick in when its the same level of performance everyyyyy week.

Roll on January. I trust Neil & the board to strengthen us sufficiently.
