      @ IsleworthRanger

I have been to Croatia a couple of times to see England play and in no way is it an obscure little Country and is in fact a highly developed place with a highly fascinating history and fiercely patriotic population and it was my pleasure to visit.
All right, all right, I admit that Croatia is beautiful. I just didn't want to sound presumptuous. :-D But the fact remains that Croatia is pretty small by most of international standards (roughly 20000 square miles and around 4 million people, compared, for example, with Scotland 30000 sq mi and 5 million).

I only wish I could have travelled there after the game in Slovenia to see the place again.
You've probably only been in Zagreb (the capital) where England played both times, and yes I suppose you could say that Zagreb is pretty much in rank with other mid-European big cities like Vienna, Prague or Budapest. By the way Karlovac is city approximately 50 kilometers (around 32 miles) south from Zagreb (less than 40 minutes down the highway). Next time you're around these parts make sure you visit our coast. It's typical mediterranean coast pretty much like French Cot d'Azur or Spanish coast. Only differences are that prices in Croatia are a lot cheaper and our waiters are much more impolite and rude. So we have that going for us. :-D

Good luck for your team this season and please return with any updates you have.
Thanks a lot, if there's anything to boast about I'll make sure you know.

I'm Karlovac fan from Croatia and I was at the game last night, so I thought I could give you some info about how some of your guys played, from opponents perspective anyway.
GK (Lejsal) played entire game and was slightly insecure, especially after the first Karlovac goal.
FB's (Ramage and Borrowdale) played decently in the first half but faded quickly int he second.
Your captain Fitz Hall was Man Of The Match for you. Big, strong and reliable. While he was in the game we couldn't do anything through the middle or by crossing the ball in to the box. 3 minutes after he was subbed we scored our first goal, and his replacement (Brown or Oastler?) was directly responsible for our third goal. Your other centerhalf Gorkss was complimenting him nicelly.
Your starting midfielders (Alberti, Ainsworth, Ephraim and Faurlin) were not very impressive in the first half except maybe Faurlin who is obviously new kid in town and is still trying to impress the coach. He also setup your only goal so did something right, right?
Agyemang appeared lazy and was subbed in halftime but Rowan Vine looked lively and scored after making the best out of our centerhalfs and GK's blunder when they just stood watching the ball bounce of Vine two times before he rolled it in to the net from like 3 feet from the goaline.
Your subs were not very good and I was specially disappointed by Helguson. He's suppose to be your number 1 striker, right? Well, he was almost invisible. Only two players who distinguished them self were Mahon (hard to miss him anyway, he's bald as mirror) and Leigertwood (at least I think it was him, he was no. 20). At one point no. 20 (Leigertwood) accidentally stomped on the nuts of one of our midfielders and some of our players reacted by chasing him and trying to hit im with the ball (not very classy, I admit). Only player who really stuck up for his teammate was Mahon, and maybe no.22 (long haired guy, probably Pellicori) who took two steps toward one of our guys chasing no. 20 but gave up quickly when he realised that the guy was a bulky 6'4".
Your new coach Magilton was loud in the first half but like the rest of your team faded in the second.
All in all your boys (with few notable exceptions) had kind of mediocre performance. Some looked tired, some looked kind of lost on the pitch (maybe some younger guys or trialists or maybe playing out of position?). On the other hand our team is fully fit (our league starts this saturday) and we are not really the worst team in Croatia. Our boys tried little harder than yours, but this was the first time we played an english team and this year we celebrate 90th birthday and this was the very first game we played under the floodlights (yes, you read that correctly) and there was almost 5000 people in the stands (which is a big deal for us as we normaly average like under 1000). So you could say we had a little more motivation for this game then you.
Any way, chin up, you have loads of time to improve by the start of the Championship and maybe get some new signings. While having Newcastle, Middlesbrough, WBA, Sheff Utd and Reading in your league automatic promotion is probably a long shot for you, but I really hope this year you make a push for at least top six and playoffs where anything goes.
Best of luck and hopefully next time we play each other is in the Championship League.

Great report. Thanks a lot and good luck to your team next year

3rd game in so no need to panic, he'll still be getting to know the squad and there capabilities and hopefully have some ideas how to strengthen the squad. Remember these boys are still a long way off match sharpness and fitness.
