Warnock obviously still has his fans onside,and I'm sure he is delighted about that as it takes pressure off him.As for me,I don't have confidence in him any more and think there is a very strong possibility if he is kept in charge we will be back in the championship next season.

How many managers from a promoted team to the PL, can loose 6 consecutive games, without being given the dreaded vote of confidence ?

Relegation is unfortunately a possibility and I’m sure none of us want to return to the CCC after having some long-overdue experience of Premiership life, but we’re deluding ourselves if we think it can’t happen. I think Blackburn are certs to go down, as their owners are on a par with Tango and Cash, but I fear the remaining two slots will be between Us, Bolton, Wigan, Wolves and Swansea.

We all know we need to strengthen the defence, especially in the middle where we have been shocking of late, and we need someone who knows where the goal is. We also need to put the ball into the right areas to give the front guys a chance, and this isn’t achieved by hoofing it long.

Warnock did a great job last year, but needs to raise his game and that of the squad to the higher levels now expected just to survive.

I just hope he knows who he wants and is knocking on the door on 1st January, not waiting until the end of the month form the dramatic last-minute signing. We’ve got 3 winnable Premiership games in January and we need the new blood now.

I love this club and will support whoever is in charge and whoever is on the pitch. I just hope those on the pitch and in the dugout feel the same as I do.

the mistakes came cos our set up encouraged sunderland onto us, we were playing a very big team and i would have played hill at left back and put traore on the left swp on the right with 2 up top hh and adel/dj with faurlin and barton in middle i would have had the team playing the ball on the floor as thats when we look most effective

no not warnocks faults for the goals but when we got back into the game and was the same at norwich the oppo manager makes a tactical substitution and grabs the game by the scruff of the neck whilst we just stand idly by, thats when managers earn their money ,
the second half showed what was wrong with his first half tactics and if you didnt see that then i would suggest you know fk all about football

Exactly the team I'd have gone with too.

What really worries me is NW went with the standard 4-4-2 against Man U, then gets all defensive against Sunderland! We should have a settled system regularly, and make in-game changes as and when required.

I wonder what the players make of all this chopping and changing each week? I bet they were bemused by the change in formation.

I know and hopefully we will win away at Swansea and Arsenal, but if we don't win or draw, it will be 6 consecutive defeats going into the January window, hence my question about the dreaded vote of confidence.

Mark Hughes OR SOMEONE?

Wasn't this the Flavio Briatore approach to hiring and firing? And it wasn't an unalloyed succcess, was it? I'm not a sentimentalist - in the unlikely event that a Jose Mourinho wd reveal a hidden desire to manage the Rs I wd say "thanks Neil, toodle pip". But calling for the manager to be sacked with no obvious replacement already lined up simply because fans are in a grump after we have lost is nothing more than emotional incontinence. Time for some fans to man up.

what if there was a fighting chance if we had a change , what then?

not having a go a serious question cos if the general concensus is that we will take relegation and start again in the champioship next year then fine, these arent knee jerk reactions here these are a culmination of 6-7 bad performances against teams we had targeted points off

IMO, NW set his stall out when he did not take Bothroyd off at half time v Newcastle and continued playing him, even though he would not hit water if he fell out a boat. He is a stubborn manager who persists with things as he knows best, even when they clearly not working and as a manager you live or die by your decisions. He is a great manager but is he a PL manager ?

I remember lots and lots of people on here saying how Swansea and Norwich were doomed and how we will finish above them as we were the better team, with the better manager and players, I wonder how many people still think that ?

I started losing respect for NW when he called Traore a disgrace in public, then had a spat with Ale on the pitch. These things should be done behind closed doors.

Now with some of the strange selections and substitutions, his integrity must be in question. Many of us on here are left wondering.

No, I don't support blind loyalty. If Warnock looked like taking us down and there is a better manager available then I wd sack him without hesitation. I simply ask who would you replace him with? Paul Hart anyone? As I understand it the name being mentioned is Zola. Wd he do a better job of keeping us up? I have my doubts about it.

i do agree with that mate, my personal opinion is that its almost a strategic swop best manager out there at moment without a job is mark hughes, i would take him cos we do not want him to go to blackburn previous to that was oneil who we all have seen will keep sunderland up, this is all about getting to summer intact ,

if he kept us up and left in summer and we knew that not bothered, in nswer to your q could ha have stopped the goals last night, not if the game panned out the same but believe he like all of us would have used diff tactics, not just about last nghts games warnock has made same mistakes for 6-7 games , where a more astute manager would have got us another 6-8 points
