tbh stick me in a qpr shirt and i'll give 100%....doesn't mean it's good enough.... that's my opinion.
100% isn't enough something if you are not good enough.
      sorry - but true.

        You said it.

Someone passion won't keep us up unfortunately.

Jamie Mackie is an absolute top notch sportsman & man but he still hasn't got the required ability to compete for 90 mins week in week out in the premiership.

Plus playing SWP out of position to accommodate Mackie is another poor call imo.

As I said good impact player.

i dont get how anybody can come out of that game last night and point any blame at mackie?

his control and crossing quality arent as many say as good as we need.. however...

mackie by a loooooong country bloody mile was not at fault last night for anything. i dont remember any passes he sent a stray unlike faurlin, barton, derry, connolly or gabbidon(who i dont think ever found a blue n white shirt all night).

when the ball was played into mackie, 8/10 he held onto it and layed it off, when he had space he ran at the defenders and looked to create something... this is something that we need.

cant believe anybody can say mackie was 'awful'. reason we lost is due to warnock and his defensive tactics. 451 at home, swp on the right for 15mins where he caused trouble then he swaps him over... also the constant long ball in first half wont work unless somebody runs beyond helguson. not to mention we dont have a side capable for the long ball game.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
          Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

            exactly.
as i said on another thread there were at least 4 players who were worse than mackie last night. connolly, gabbidon, barton and derry.

Didn't think he was as bad as everyone makes out. Wasn't great by any means but at least he was causing problems and was twice as good as what swp was

Think you've missed the point of the thread tbh.

Yes you are 100% right those mentioned were far worse. The thread is entitled Helguson & Mackie, if it was entitled Barton & Derry my comment would of been on them as it has been on other threads.

Mackie had a decent enough game but I repeat for me doesn't have enough quality to start every single week in the premiership.

Fair few disagreements between us in the past but I am nearly completely in agreement with your observations in recent games. Went to the game yesterday. Did not understand the SWP sub. I think Warnock is losing his passion and wants to get out of the football game.

Mackie isn't good enough to start every week but the way some go on here you'd think he couldn't kick a ball and has never done anything right. He has a better touch than SWP.

There is absolutely no doubt that Mackie always puts in a full shift. Having said that he seems to play more like the old time wingers, heading for the corner flag all the time. As as result, he is not effective as a sriker. He needs to be far more direct. His crossing ability is not great either.

He does have pace though and most certainly does get stuck in. You do wonder given his tenacity in the tackle whether he sould be given a chance in centre midfield. He would certainly get stuck in.

Not Premiership standard as a forward though. Helguson will score his fair share of goals but whereas their forwards always looked dangerous last night, ours didnt.

Defence was woeful. The only one of them three i would play is Young. Hill would have been a better option that Connolly in defence. You know he will always get stuck in and he is also pretty decent in the air so poses a threat from defence.

The only defender likely to score is Young.

Mackie and Helguson both need to be dropped for two better players in January, Mackie technically is so poor and Helguson well he's just to old to be playing week in week out he's taking a battering all his life

Drop HH? Lunacy. Remember when we outed a certain L.Ferdinand? He scored lots of goals and look what happened when he went.

HH is stuffing the ball in the net regularly. Yes, he may not be up to playing consistently well every week, but that's up to NW to manage him correctly.

Besides, the way he's playing, he certainly won't want to have a rest.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
