I don't often start a thread but tonight I feel that I have to. I appreciate that our squad is thread bare and we ain't got a lot to work with but tonight is just not good enough.
Our tactics were poor, packing the midfield by bringing in Derry didn't work, why did it take so long for Warnock to react? And when he did react, why Bothroyd? He's been awful, tonight was crying out for DJ Campbell.
We were lucky to get back to 2-2 but when we did, they were there for the taking, yet we sat back.
For me, the first half tonight was as bad as I've seen all season and we really didn't deserve anything out of the game. Make no mistakes about it, Sunderland are a poor side and we made them look good tonight!
A few lads in blue and white (and I'll include the management in that) need to have a good look at themselves tonight. If we can't win at home in games like this one we don't belong in this league!
