  • Cerny

I would just to say what a credit to the club he is. He gets stick from a few but his performances against Liverpool and man utd were top drawer, and he doesnt complain about being behind kenny in the pecking order. Top pro.

    Second that mate.

Mate of mine was at the POTY do a 2 or 3 years back and said he was an absolute top bloke, couldnt do enough for the people there and stayed after all the other players chatting to fans and signing things for the kids.

Need more like him in the game tbh.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Admire his professionalism but for me very frustrating player. Should have stopped Manure's second goal, almost gifted one to Evans by flapping at a corner and bit shaky at beginning of game. Against that some top draw saves and distribution good which is normally something I think he is poor at!

Is that how you describe his two bob contol of the ball and fluffed clearance to Smalling, where 4 seconds later they scored ? Cerny is a top guy and a great shot stopper, but not very good at every other aspect of being a goal keeper, which is a shame, but that's life.

I would still have Kenny over him but I just wanted to underline what a top pro he is.

If you are going to blame Cerny for the Utd first goal you cd also start hurling manure at about five other players including Traore. Guess a lot just depends on who the latest whipping boy is. I agree with Ginger - don't think cerny himself claims to be the new gordon banks but ginger was noting his professionalism which is much better than a lot of so-called stars at our club.

You do make me giggle, if Cerny had controlled the ball better, he would have kicked the ball better and the chances are Smalling would not have headed the ball to Rooney and they would not have scored.

Out of curiosity, if Jones had scored that open goal, would it have been Cerny's fault (nothing wrong as it happens) for flapping and not getting the ball ?
