Who saw him score on MoTD2 last night (I appreciate many of you will not have tuned in to avoid our horror show)? If so, what did you think? I thought he took his goal superbly and whilst he did nothing in the first half - having seen v little first team action - he looked a real threat in the second and v nearly had a brace. Harry afterwards said that the striker was def off in Jan but added something like "when he is on it there is no one to match Pav". Which translated prob means he has all the talent but is a lazy/ temperamental sod. Sounds like a true Rs player straight out of central casting to me. I refuse to build my hopes up about Defoe - tho obviously I'd love him to come - but think with Pav and Helguson up front or even - getting v greedy now - Pav and Zamora we wd be a really formidable unit, particularly with a fit DJ to come off the bench.

Personally think he would be a fantastic signing. We need improvements and competition in every department. He has a very good record for club and country and if we signed him for anything less than 5mil it would be a steal.

If Pav did join, he would soon get the same boos and abuse Bothroyd and so many other forwards over the years have got from our home fans.

He is the sort of player that can become completely annonymous in a game and is lazy, he can definately finish when he's on it, but he isn't really on it that often.

Zamora would probably work harder but would still eventually get the abuse for lack of goals etc.

I cant see why any decent striker would want to come to QPR FC, as they are not allowed to play as a striker IE: score goals.
