  • A lot of nonsense being posted on here

I think it's ludicrous to call for Warnock's sacking after a few poor results, two of which have come against top quality opposition. Give him a chance to strengthen the squad in the January transfer window - it's the least he deserves after what he has done for the club. Yes, some of his substitutions have been questionable, but what you have to remember is that we don't have strength in depth, which means that Neil doesn't have many options available to him from the bench. Briatore and Ecclestone left us in a mess in August and, when Fernandes took over, Warnock had to race against time to secure the signings of Barton, Traore, Young, Ferdinand and SWP. Unlike Norwich and Swansea, it really was a case of a squad scrambled together at the last minute and, in my view, we've done pretty well. The aim this season has got to be survival and, at the moment, we're outside the relegation zone.

Today we came up against a vastly superior side who had clearly done their research. Fergie had identified our playmaker (Faurlin) and it was no surprise that he was prevented from influencing proceedings. That said, our performance was indeed disappointing. I thought that we were far too sloppy in possession and seemed to show too much respect for the United players. Connolly and Gabbidon were totally out of their depth. Barton, SWP and Bothroyd were also awful.

Wednesday night's match is incredibly important and obviously we're going to have to improve our performance. But talk of replacing Warnock at this stage is just silly.

I agree. Too many fans panicking. We need to get behind our team instead of expecting us to be world beaters in our first year in the prem.

      Experience and Class won today.

Gerry at the game I get behind the team, this
Is not about today or last week i, I'm happy to
Finish 17th but at the moment it looks a tall order. We were all relying on blacburn Bolton Swansea Norwich and wolves to be worse then us , take Swansea Norwich out way they are going Wigan starting to find form , leaves us with Bolton Blackburn and wolves tbh I think blackburn a shot away from
Making a semi run and wolves have been here before

I'm bored to tears of reading those types of threads, so I've not bothered to digest the last load of knee-jerk bowlocks.

Of course, they all own FM 2011, so they know how to win the league.

Anyone calling for the manager to be sacked needs their head testing. We are 3 points clear of the drop with a better budget than those around us. We hace just come up and just need to calm down. We should have beaten west brom but thats football. Liverpool and today could have easily dented our goal difference more than -3 ffs

Get a grip, warnock knows the players better than we do. The players need to up their game, some more than others but all this talk is pathetic and some sound like spoilt little chelsea fans.....

We all get behind our team mate, but perspective is needed. We should judge our results and performances against the bottom half and not the 19 times prem champs. It would of been a huge shock if we had won today, more so than the Chitsea result.

We were outclassed today, and it was expected. The difference with this game and the Man C game is that MU made us look poor, but against MC its true we battled harder and our big players, Barton, SWP, performed better.

Gerry your spot in ref kicking off about the result today or last week, they were always free games as long as you get points elsewhere , we now need 24 points out of next 22 games so we kinda need to win 6-7 games and draw 5-7 games , sounds straightforward!!
