Calm down everyone, we have just played probably one of the 5 top football clubs in the world.
We've obviously got a weak squad, and to be fair we had a weak squad last year but due to individual talent and NW we stormed the league. At least 4 or 5 other championship teams were stronger but we won.
As mentioned previously NW had to get some players in and did great getting those who he did in the circumstances. Unfortunately some haven't stepped up to the mark, I for one didn't expect SWP or Bothroyd to be as poor as they are. I didn't expect them to be great but they make league 1 players look good.
We've been absolutely shite for 15 yrs, whilst other teams have been winning premierships, playing champions league and filling their boots with internationals.
Today we were completely outplayed against a top top team but if certain players could simply do basics then we might of got something as we had opportunities, NW can't be blamed for that. Cerny for instance can turn up and take Kennys place and behave and play well, why can't certain out field players do the same. If Cerny was letting in 6 goals per game, people would be calling NW a clown for playing him but posters don't question this decision because Cerny isn't playing like an idiot.
Whether techncally NW is out of his depth, I'm not sure. The squad is weak and I think he's doing OK, better teams in the premiership have been rooted to the bottom in the past then us.
Much of the criticism has been whether to play Adel, move SWP to another position or drop a defender. These aren't "game changing calls", they might help for 10 minutes but to me simply reinforce the weaknesses we have.
No one makes any serious comment as to who we should have bought in the summer or who we should buy in the transfer Market.
We're doing the best we can but sometimes that's not good enough, at the moment that isn't NWs fault IMHO.

Fair enough but nobody can deny the damage was caused by bernerd and fabios sales tactics holding it up till the last week of the window does anybody think Warnock really wanted the dead wood free signing's He had to make to get some player's in in case the take over never happend
And the Newcastle result was just bad luck that happens to every side at sometime

dont know how you can call fulham "dropped points" when we lost 6-0. think we have to get out of the mindset of last season when we were turning over poor sides. this season, in the prem, we are a poor side that even the other poor sides see as a "must win" game. that's the way it is for now. no need to slash any wrists. until jan even a point at home can be a good result. hopefully things will then step up. best not to over-react.

we had no time to improve a team from the championship-a team that was fading to be honest. looking well short at the mo but almost everyone on here said "lets get through till the window and have a right bash"!!! that is the time to judge us. warnock has had some poor decisions of late but fc uk me were not bottom of the table and our hands were tyed for a long spell of the summer transfer window. got us up and will keep us up-then look ahead if needs be.
a cple said on here last season that we don't need many players cause the difference between the prem and the champ is little.........very quiet now!!

Great post Bush and when you think last season other teams had better players and bigger budgets than us, so in theory we didn't even have the best players in the championship so how can we expect them to compete now?

Hey, no need to panic. Just read back some of the posts over the last few weeks. We're a mid table side don't ya know? And of course we're going to make all these wonderful signings next month.....

Honestly, some people have no idea how tough this league is. That's why it's the best in the world. We've got no right to expect to beat any team in this division. We have to scrap for every single point and goal. Like I've been saying for weeks, I'd take 17th. Apparently, that's not good enough for some.....
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Yea your right Fulham are amazing & we were not worthy of competing against them.

Dropped points is losing against any team we are fully capable of beating whether its 1-0 or 20-0.

                    • I wouldn't sack warnock but his substitutions and positions he is playing players in are questionable, swp should be on the right, traore being used as an attacking left back or definately more up field.
Bothroyd imo is not a striker or a prem player and doesn't even try when going for headers (reminds me of hulse actually).
Barton as some of said above needs to concentrate on his game rather than his twittering we are just not a priority in his life, seems as though the money is useful for him and that's it, not doubting when he wants to though he can put some good passes together and finally adel i would play him, give him a chance, we all know he's got it, he does too, i just think leaving him on the bench may have taught him a bit of a lesson and he needs the chance to prove himself before he leaves in jan.
Rant over, just hope we'll pull through.

yeah but sometimes we have to hold our hands up and say they deserved to win on the day, like today now lets give it to them on the return,
But your point about our points tally deserves to be better is fully valiid

                        • Something else, everyone knew it was gonna be tough this year although since TF came in it seems people are thinking we are better than we actually are and are getting overly dissapointed with defeats against the likes of man u and liverpool, what did they expect, we were never gonna be up there so people thinking it were dreaming it, just be happy with consolidation this year and push on, i will be. Anything better is a plus.

Mate always knew was going to be tough, we seemed to negotiate the first bit ok , and barring Bolton and fulham perfectly acceptable start , problems
Started when we kept dropping points we shldnt , nowich away at 1-1 only one team were going to win it that was us, lambert made a substitution that changed the game whilst warnock
Had no response , we lose , vs Blackburn WBA we had chances to kill the game yes not warnocks fault but he could have made
The tactical changes to see games out or
Go on and win and he didn't make the right changes at right time, those 7 points just there would have meant we were virtually safe entering second half of season , your not going to stay in prem I you only win 1 out of 8 home
Games, we need a plan b we need to be able
                            To change it when
Not going right that for me
                            Is the issue

                            • I think everyone admits that our no.1 priority is a striker (who can score), the amount of chances and misses we've had are unbelivable and after all look at Norwich, conceded more than us but the difference is they have been scoring, this is and will continue to be our down fall if we don't do something about it in Jan.

                              • Oh my god, on the back of a defeat at Anfield we lost to the Champions and a team who regularly appear in the Champions League final and look at the fuss.

Go back less than 2 years. 20th in the Championship. Remember the start of last season when we signed Mackie, Derry and Hill and eveeyone was saying we hadn't invested in the squad, we were way off the mark for promotion even the play offs? Well look what happened. Anyone saying we aren;t good enough isn't necessarilly wrong but also needs to get a reality check. There's a good argument beyond the lack of time we had to sign players before the window that the squad overachieved massively to get us up as Champions. Now we're here and not doing well the bleating starts. It's a little bit sad and all too easy to knock the side and the manager when we hit a bad run against some of the best teams in the world.

Yes Bothroyd isn't performing, but supporters saying they hope he breaks a leg are pitiful / let him die do the rest of us no credit. It seems likely that we'll bring a striker or two in next month, but can't do much about it so don;t turn on players as they don't fulfil some Sunday morning w*ank fantasy of getting a victory against Man Utd.

Why play HH, who a couple of years ago was told he couldn't play two games a week, for the full 90 mins when two down to Man Utd when Sunderland are here in three days? Yes, Traore *could* start at game at left wing but would you have Hill as first choice left back given his lack of pace and experience at this level?

We've still barely spent any money, even compared to the team below us, all of them established Premier League sides.
