  • Kieron Dyer Out For Season

Yet we aren't terminating his contract...

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Kieron Dyer will be out for the rest of the season - having only played seven minutes in a Rangers shirt. He suffered another injury to the left foot he injured in the first match of the season while making his comeback.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Blimey! very good of Tony, most owners would say get rid, least we know now and can give his place in the 25 over to someone else.

'I feel he has a lot to offer the club not just on the field of play but in every aspect. We will be involving him in many aspects of the club while he rehabilitates.

That's good to hear, maybe working with the youth players or something

Even if we terminate his contract we should at least let him carry on training with the club. You can't toss an injured out on his backside

A shame but then it was a gamble taking him on.

Seems he's well liked within the game and has a lot to give back, maybe a coaching role would be good for him.

Did he actually sign on a pay as you play deal (doesn't sound like it from the report).

Given his history over the last few years I think it was a massive waste of a place in the 25. (and don't even get me started on Bruno and Puncheon....)

yes but as I udnerstand it he still receives a low-ish (in footballers terms!) basic salary.

If he has one iota of decency he'll refuse any money until such time (if ever) he is fit again. He hardly needs the cash, does he.

You don't honestly think "pay as you play" in the Premier league means he doesn't get paid when he doesn't play do you?

It just means his salary level is dependent on appearances. He still earns many, many times what I do - guaranteed.
