regan in the old loft.......the south africa road stand looked much better without those silly poncey boxes...........i say get rid of em and extend the seating to fit more 'true' fans in not the cucumber baggette brigade!......why didnt they just put a new roof on the loft/ level up the school end in cover it............halcyon days indeed!

there was an old magic loft in an ol magic town

there was an old magic loft in an old magic town
where many a pair of underpants atumatically turned brown
you had the ladbroke grove and the white city too
they would chase you till you hid in the loo

but it had a strange warmth if you supported the rs
but if you didnt they would scratch all your cars
it had concrete blocks holding up the floodlights
and a strange kind of sinisterism coverd up the fights

but it was the place of so many memories, and the ones i loved the best
was dr martins boots,ben shermans and levi sta press
the black crombie also made its prescence felt
but we all wore braces so we didnt need a belt

we always sang our anthem but the song was crap
the lyrics were badley thought up if you get my rap
it didnt matter much because we didnt care
the only think we worried about was to keep our cropped hair

well of the origional five hundred loft boys,only 275 are still alive,the others are out the game



but we are all so much more fatter put us all together and we still weigh the same


we have eaten so many pies



we are not tough any more but our friends tell us lies

on a non poetic note,it was real shock to me to see the old loft,when reagan chased him around the back of the loft there was a real strange feeling of
remembering myself as a 15 year old,i used to think i was so tough in my skinhead outfit,but that year of 68-69 season was so full of memories i remember the forest brought a right tough firm that season,.


but im so glad that the sweeney made that episode in the loft i will keep it and look at it from time to time
