When Paul Hart was in charge, I advised him to field 7 defenders and he took my advice.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

Nah. Despite having views on everything I suspect I'd fall flat on my backside after 5 minutes if I were put in charge.
I knew someone who applies for every manager's job that comes up though - he's just an ordinary Joe like me and you and with zero proper credentials for the jobs. Despite this he gets a polite rejection letter in about 80% of cases and just ignored by rest. Haven't seen him in years but I presume he must have club-crested response letters from Chief Execs of virtually every top-fliigt club by now.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I wrote to B&H Albion and asked if their team could come to our school and teach us the best methods for football training , low behold 3 weeks later they turned up with half the full squad !! Obviously they got in touch with the head first and the arso didn't tell us that they were coming...great day .

Oh yes ......... We went to a Manager/player question & answer session at Ealing town hall one year, when John Hollins was sent in to take the flak, not sure if he was in charge at the time. I asked him whether it would be a good idea to keep Tony Roberts behind after training and make him practice his goal kicks as he always kicked it into touch, sometimes not even getting past the half way line
Mr Hollins got very areated and laid into me asking what kind of fan I was criticising one his players. As I was sitting in the middle of the row of seats the compere had passed the microphone down to me, and so I decided to put him right on a few other mistakes he was making. While the compere was diving over trying to wrestle the mic back off me. I got one of the biggest cheers of the night

"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I wrote to ray wilkins asking him very nicely not to sell Sir Les as we would get relegated. He replied to me with a lovely letter. Still have the reply from ray.

I remember a home match against Norwich about five or six years ago. We'd been on a bad run and, during the players' warm-up before the game, a fan in the Upper Loft was shouting 'you bunch of useless ****s' (or something along those lines) at the top of his voice. Holloway turned round, made his way into the Loft and went to see the fan in the upper tier. He sat with him for 10-15 minutes discussing tactics.

                      We won the game 3-0.
