    They after Kaka
Tottenham are ready to offer out-of-favour Kaka an escape from his Real Madrid nightmare. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will offer to take the 29-year-old on loan in the January transfer window.

      As a sub.

No top player wants to be a sub.

A 6 month loan deal would suit all parties.

Defoe plays every week, we get a top striker to help our survival & Harry still owns him.

i think defoe is one of those "if this club signs this player, we'll sign him" just like bassong. so dont expect him straight away or at all.

        cant see it myself.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
        Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Agree he won't be that happy just being a sub, I'm simply questioning whether Harry will be prepared to lose him when they prob have their best chance in living memory of winning the league. A top club wants top sub/ squad options. How many starts does Berbatov or Owen make for Utd? He is one of their three main strikers - it wd be a bit like someone coming in for, say, DJ Campbell and leaving us with Helguson and Bothroyd. Agree if Spurs bring someone else in it cd change the picture but if I was Harry I'd conclude that I already have the best super-sub in the business and two top drawer strikers in the starting line up, so short of being offered a Messi or a Ronaldo - which isn't going to happen - why change things? Is there anybody else better out there Harry will find in January? Just my opinion - loved to be proved wrong.

Harry's no fool of course he wouldn't get rid of him for the sake of it, as you say he is a top player to be able to call on. I see it as more Defoe NEEDING to get away if he wants to be on that plane to the Euro's & we can offer him weekly football something he hasn't had for a good while.

Loan option is still perfect scenario for me. Buy Zamora & loan Defoe.

              Perfect strikers would be perfect
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Since he joined Foolham in 2008 he has played 74 PL games and scored 13 goals... So taking away the "pinnacple of his career" hatrick against us and he has got 10 in 73.... Hardly prolific.
