I think he could have gone to Inter before, but decided to come here because he wanted to play.

Also, I think being settled is quite important to him, but you are correct, ultimately money might decide his future.
    Kept the faith!

Correct, I believe we had to pay Inter £500k in compensation as they had a first-option clause in his contract.

Sell him for 17 million and replace him with four brilliant players may sound good, but replacing Faurlin with a similar quality player ready to play in the Premiership, will probably cost almost as much.

And Warnock will need to have his 4 brilliant players already lined up and hope that no one else has spotted them (highly unlikely given QPR's scouting network).

Faurlin is QPR's understated star player this season, as he was last, and will be required to keep QPR in the Premier League.

If Fernandes and Mittal are serious in their plans fo the club, they will need to fund more signings out of their own pocket and hope that QPR stay up to continue the progress the club has made over the last two seasons

When has Warnock put this 17m tag on him? I havnt seen it quoted anywhere?

Fulham is a typically diverse London area with something for everyone - from the hustle and bustle of North End Road Market, to the refined chicness of the iconic Fulham Road. It boasts superb pubs and restaurants, two Premier League football clubs and excellent transport links.

QPR have slapped a £17million price tag on Ali Faurlin after two Premiership clubs and one from Serie A made enquiries about the midfield maestro this week.

Neil Warnock gave his player an ear-wigging as he left the pitch following Saturday’s 1-1 with West Brom, but the manager last night insisted the Argentine would be the very last player to leave Loftus Road.

Warnock watched tomorrow’s (Saturday) opponents Liverpool lose at Fulham on Monday night and admitted he would fight tooth and nail to keep Faurlin.

“If say, Jordan Henderson is worth what Liverpool paid for him,” the manager told the Chronicle, “then Ali’s got to be worth more than that.

“I said when we gave him an extended deal last year to 2014, he was the best signing I made at QPR, and he would be the very last to leave.”

He hasnt directly mate, hes just said he thinks he is worth more than Henderson and he was bought for £16Mill (i think!).

Neil Warnock is determined to keep Alejandro Faurlin at Queens Park Rangers after the midfielder attracted interest from other clubs.

                Lazy journalism.

In the interests of accuracy NW actually said he's worth more than Henderson, who's undisclosed fee was reported to be between 16 and 20 million.

AF seems a sensible lad and appears happy at LR. He's a bit of a rarity in the PL in that he's a left footed ball-winning centre midfielder who can pass the ball well.

Personally, I wouldn't sell him for less than £20m. Who could replace him?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

No quote saying anything other than the fact there is interest is a compliment to Ale and how well he has started.

There are quotes in other links, however, (I believe posted on this thread previously) direct from Ale saying he is happy at QPR.

Enough for me, until we see an official bid from somebody, he is a Ranger.

Teams are starting to suss Faurlin now ...every time the ball goes to him 2 players shut him down and force him to turn that's when he gets lost for ideas and 8 times out of ten he'll lose the ball to them..think he is a great prospect and has looked good in most games but i'm sure i'm not alone in noticing this happening every game now

Fact from L'pool game: Faurlin made 30 of his 35 passes successfully- giving him an 86% success rate.

Wasn't a lower league player deemed to be the best player in the world recently based on stats like that ?

Havent a clue mate. I can understand certain stats can be made to say what you want them too, but a simple pass success rate speaks for itself... doesnt it?

or it at least goes to show that he doesnt lose the ball "8 out of 10 times".
