I got to Euston just after 9 n all. Had to tube it to Victoria, then jumped to 10 o'clock to Reigate. If I'd stayed on the one I was meant to, I'd not even got to Euston 'til 10.15. Home by midnight. F**k that after leaving home at 7am.
Awful drive back, missed the turning for the m6 ended up in manchester finally found the m6 full of man u and liverpool fans heading back south. Then the m1 entrance was closed so took some back routes to northampton then back on the m1 got back to mk about 10.

Benny i wish i did pal, never again. Rangersforever, yer i took the toll forget sitting in brum for a extra hour! And have you right about the southern mancs and scousers, made me sick seeing them all.
Just look on London Midland or Teainline. You either need to book a while in advance, or as a group of four. Or both.
How would you get fares for that price?? I checked on trainline and national and all the other websites, before during and after booking our fare, and also right up to the day just in case there were any offers or fares that we missed out on and i never seen any fares anywhere near that price.
Also phoned up as well and got the same prices being quoted on the internet
Plenty of ways. Click rail card and then group saver, or click the option where you can take alternative routes. Also, booking up to three months in advance helps.
I got a return to Sheffield for £14 about six seasons back.
I never knew about the clicking on the rail card idea, might try that way in future...never clicked on it before because i don't have a railcard so didn't see the point, tried your other suggestions though and none of them worked for me.
I did ask the woman on the phone when i rang up was there no group save available because there were ten of us travelling and she said no group save was available on that route...so very strange all round.
Group save is permitted on the following Train operators;
c2c
Chiltern Railways
First Capital Connect
First Great Western
London Midland
National Express East Anglia
ScotRail
Southeastern
Southern
South West Trains
I've posted a thread for trains to Swansea if you are going.
i was on the long train (london midland) back, once we changed at birmingham the train we got on had faulty toilets and was like a ****ing sauna. still better than paying £70 though. had to endure two fat scousers eating what can only be described as everything on the menu at the chinese takeaway by the station.
