QPR have slapped a £17million price tag on Ali Faurlin after two Premiership clubs and one from Serie A made enquiries about the midfield maestro this week.
smalling was how old? faurlin is 25. will be hitting his peak in a couple years. pretty much rules out top 4 imo. calm down peeps - i don't see him going anywhere.
I agree, that is why I posted yesterday a new contract offer should be made to him with at least a £20-25M buyout clause.
Faurlin will get better and better and will even improve his scoring rate in the right set up.
I really wish Warnock had not put such a low price tag on him as that will only encourage bids. I would rather he took a Spurs like stance as they did with Modric and say £30-40M, Although QPR wouldn't get that much, at least it would discourage £15M bids.
Neil isn't quoted here as valuing him at £17m, thats the journalist who's thrown that figure out.
Neil's saying that he's worth more than Jordan Henderson, who's undisclosed fee was reported to be between £16m and £20m. By that reckoning NW's true valuation could be £20+ mill.

Firstly there is no need for any buyout clause, they arent really that advisable for a team to put in but they exist because in Spain players have to have buyout clauses. I dont know of any players in England who has one.
Secondly a price tag of £30-40M is just ridiculous and makes our team lose any credibility, Im not not sure exactly how long Faurlin has left on his contract but its unlikely to be near to how long Modric had left which put Spurs in such a strong negotiating position.
The best thing we can do in my opinion is to show Ali the money and give him big wages for 5 years or so. But if he doesnt want to sign then eventually we have to sell him.
