We arent going to be able to get payers that are labelled "quality" at a club like Spurs.

Also, Pav has people split; I myself have 4 or 5 Spurs ST holder mates and a couple think hes poor and a couple think he is a really good striker that will score you goals given a run of games.

Again, in comparison to Spurs (who have the likes of Adebayor & RVDV to choise from), he may well not be viewed highly rated, but for us, I think he would be a great signing.
I agree. Its all about perspective. Sometimes a fringe player for a top team just doesn't get enough chances with a run in the team to prove what he can do, and Traore is a prime example.

My comments earlier were not my opinion, I was just replying to the OP with what my spurs mate said.

I do agree Bassong is better than Gabbidon, but not hugely better, and also Pav in midfield is a clearly bit better than Smith/Buz, so its progress. Whats more of an issue is how the manager/coaching team get the best out of their potential once they are here, and NW has done great with Traore and Young, but not so well with SWP and JayB, who seem to be inconsistant.

So let me get this right you've watched him play every game for Spurs when he has played and you see him play week in week out for Spartak Moscow did you? Or is he lazy cos your mate told you?

I'm sorry but a striker who has scored 69 goals in 141 game for Spartak and 20 in 75 games for Spurs in the Premiership, add to that 20 in 49 for his national side will do for me.

Got to love it when people he's rubbish cos my mate said this or my mate said that. Football's about opinion's and I'll make my own based on what I see. Watched him about 8 times for Spurs and I know for a fact he's better than what we've got. I remember reading on this board all the slating Heider got over the last few seasons and wonder what those same fans are saying now about him.

Everyone knows my opinion of Pav, & it seems everyone else's Spuds fans agree he's poor.

Bassong my mate said he doest want him to leave, but said he can be slow to react. Remember Spuds paid 8million for Newcastle's player of the season player annnnnnnnndddd, I happen to know Bassong is solid on Fifa 12 :drunk:
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

Oh well lets sign him then cos he's solid on Fifa 12. I bet Neil's sitting there with Curley and Jonesy as we speak smashing through Fifa 12 trying to get he QPR squad together. Amit's in the kitchen russeling up some nan bread sarnies and a bom bay mix so they can have an all night session and Tony and Phil have just nipped out to collect the Domino's pizza's and are discussing the purse strings in Phil's Fiesta on the way.

Are the schools really this bad in West London that our fans have the mentality that because a player is good on Fifa that he's going to be solid?

All I can add is that one very knowledgeable spurs fan think Pav is decent and not really given a proper chance, but a hard team to get into.
