\Does anyone else find spending 40 quid on a membership pointless, i have had to rely on mates to get my tickets and a season ticket is no good if you work shifts so my mates continue to gain loyalty points at my expense and i never gain any !!! not a good system

i personally don't think the club expected the influx of demand for tickets this year. We've sold out near every game, but we weren't doing that last year when flying high the whole season - was only come feb/march that people started turning up at the gates.
Away tickets have been sold out a lot quicker too - and that's to all games pretty much.
in essence - our stadium is too small.

With membership you can buy tickets before they go on general sale and that is about it IMHO. Some need it, some don't.Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

Would truly defeat the point of membership for me. So what is the mechanism of this failure, are season ticket holders now allowed to buy more tickets than last season or are they just using this opportunity more, thus leaving (next to) nothing for members?
I remember a few years back we had arsenal in the FA cup, needing to beat Luton(?). They said anyone at that needed to keep the stub and they could get an arsenal ticket. problem is the people at the front had about 50 stubs each! I missed out - gutted. made sure never in that position again...although I have been a couple of times!
It's just a tough one really - people will always miss out. if you don't get anything though through the membership surely you can ask for your money back no?

Only game I haven't been able to get a ticket for in years was the Leeds game and we were not in the Prem then.

I am also a member, and I have been able to get a ticket to all home games. Yes, there are away games where they sell out before members get the chance to snap them up, but thats the way it is and it is only fair that ST holders (who have spashed out alot of dough for thier ST) get first dibs. And if it so happens that a side gives us, for example, 3k allocation, and 3k ST holders want to go, them its hard luck on us members.
With the Leeds game, I also couldnt get 1 originally, but luckily my mate knew a bird working in the box office and he managed get us a couple in the Lower School End ... Albeit at £45 price.... Worth every penny!Last edited by MattyRangers; 09-12-2011, 08:30 AM.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
