How can someone say 2.5m! Clearly have no clue. League 1 and 2 players go for that these days.

Unless a big offer comes in I don't think we will sell. If Adel wants to knuckle down he is still probably our best and most creative player. I dont know what goes on behind closed doors, but what ever it is I do hope it gets sorted and Adel plays and plays well and shuts up the people slating him and saying he is worth 2.5m.

Old saying Class is perm, form is temp.

In fairness mate, he's worth closer to £2.5m than he is to £10m, that's for sure. He's made his name worse in recent months with reports of his storming out at half time and being dropped from the squad, and not even making it off the bench this weekend. It's not all about his potential tallent, but also on whether he's worth the gamble. I think he is worth a gamble for some clubs, but not at much more than £5m. He could trn out to be the biggest bargain of the year at that price, but on the other side, he could also turn out to be a waste of money.

I think £5m is a fair price for him right at this moment in time. It'd be great to see him stay and not only start to fulfil his potential, but also raise his status and value. That'd be ideal as it'd benefit us both on the pitch, and financially. I can't help but have doubts as to whether or not this'll happen.

Anyway...You decided what your doing for travel on Saturday? Me and Jeff are on the 10(ish) from Watford. Gonna try and jump on the 17.48 to Euston on the way back.
        Your mum would love me...

Problem is, thats all he's proved himself to be so far this season....

I hope he decides to try and prove me wrong, but i wont hold my breath

Class is permanent mate, but he's never been class in the Premiership has he..only when he was a big fish in a small pond...and even then idiots like savage etc made him look bad....

He's had his chances and aint fronted up or delivered...shall we just keep paying him to sit on the subs bench because he was good last year..?

That 10 mill + from PSG dont look to bad now eh?

                  IMO

i think there's clubs that would take adel, but i'm not sure he'll go to them. i can't see psg or even one of the smaller french, italian or spanish sides coming in for him - but i think adel still thinks this is where he belongs. to get a decent fee we need a bidding war and at the mo', there's barely any takers

but... there must be some championship clubs with some cash to splash to bolster a promotion challenge (baardiff, leicester?) who won't have forgotten the difference he can make at that level? or... a less competitive league like scotland maybe where his ego could be boosted by the less able opposition?

still think we could get £4m-ish from these type of clubs, but would adel step backwards?

I honestly think he'd be reluctant to step down a league now, after last year and all the summer debate...cant see him going back to championship...so its either loan out and pay his wages, or sell on the cheap and replace....i know what i'd be doing right now!!

Can't see who'd pay anything for him
                          Now, championship
Clubs may look at him and the only one with any dosh are Leicester , no other top team going to go for a player who has shown that this league at the moment to much for him

If getting to the PL is worth, what, £90Mil or whatever ridiculous sum, to a club, then surely Adel (a player that, quite frankly, tore that league a new jam roll last year) is worth at least £10Mil to a top championship side? I know not many/if any Championship clubs can afford that sort of money, but he must be worth it based on what he can do in that league you'd think?

What was his record last year, 19 goals and 20-odd assists? Cant put a price on that sort of input to a side when you're pushing for the "promised land" that is the PL!

Your theory is right matty and i understand the logic..but..also realise, thos eother clubs know we need to off-load to get someone else in, so if they play hard-ball they can drive the price down.....

put it this way..if we were in west hams position at this time last year, would we be considering paying 10 million on the off chance he "might fancy" helping us after being shown up in the Premiership...

No chance....and as supporters we'd all go crazy..

such a shame and a waste of good potential....but he's had his chance i think
