      No thanks.

Far too much money for someone who won't head the ball !

not sure he would get us the 12-15goals that might be needed before the end of the season...saying that he's still a good player.

Sometimes i have to wonder if some of you are being serious. Saying no to Anelka, give over!

You have to take all things into consideration regarding transfers

Anelka isnt getting any younger, is a moody git and would demand hefty wages.

                Worth the risk?

Yes because others will come due to the fact we can attract big names.

None of the players we've signed this season are gettign any younger.

Anelka has carried this "moody git" or "Sulk" tag for years yet i think it has simply stuck since his younger days when his (i think) brothers who acted as his agent unsettled him and he ended up moving from club to club. I haven't heard any issues with him for years, so is it really a justified comment now?

He would demand hefty wages yes, but so have Barton et al...

As for those saying he's past his best.... yes he is, but let's face it, when at his best, he was absolutely world class. If he's 80% of that, then he would still be better than most.

Also, for all those people questioning players past 30 bear in mind it's a different sport these days. Players in top clubs not only have the very best conditioning, but they also don't play every game due to rotation. Therefore the potential for a top player in any position to go on a few extra years is far more likely than in the old days.

I dont think character is an issue with Anelka at all, by all accounts he has acted very professionally in recent years. His early days are somewhat similar to what Taarabt is going through now and is what Warnock seems to be suggesting. Maybe we get Anelka in to mentor Taarabt.

Depends on the price. I would not pay more than £1.5-£2.

Yes please. Worth matching Joey's wages on a 2 year deal for sure.

                              You'd only pay 2 quid?
