  • SWP

I thought he was awful today. Gave the ball away numerous times, slowed down play and it seems like he has lost the spark he had when he first joined. He doesn't seem to want to take on the full back either, he needs to sort it out ASAP.

Very frustrating performance from him Del, I wanted him to run at em a bit more as well

Agree Was poor and wasteful today , that chance second half looked like he had time to take a touch rather then try the spectacular volley

i must admit i am not his biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination and after just seeing the highlights he stopped running when traore took the ball past foster had he kept going well....

anyway swp is and has always been a right winger all this playing him left or through middle is a load of tosh. im sure he would be more effective on the right but still he isnt my cuppa tea.

If his goal had stood would you still be saying this?.

Yes. Although if that goal had stood his confidence would have probably increased and wouldn't have played like he was scared of the right back.

SWP is a right winger. NW thinks Mackie is the better option.

Our midfield is much stronger with SWP, Faurlin, Barton, Traore in it, but no, NW thinks it's better to unbalance the whole thing. I like NW, but sometimes his tactics leave me puzzled.

Suppose he thought Traore would be needed in the back 4 more

Remember he was doubtful all week, may have something to do with it, don't you think !

I disagree, but each to their own. He has a high work rate but runs into trouble too often for my liking, and doesn't know when to release the ball.

Ok, so let's get either a left-sided midfielder in or move Traore there, and use SWP as Mackie's back up.

                          Will that keep people happy?

SWP should not have been playing today. He only started training on Friday having left Norwich on crutches.
Mabe we should have started with Buzz/Adel/Smith or even Punchy.

                              It should be a 4-4-2:
                              Kenny
                              Young Ferdinand Gabbidon Hill
                              SWP Barton Faurlin Traore
                              Helguson Mackie

I'd like to see Taarabt come on for Mackie to make it a 4-2-3-1 if we need a spark in midfield but that doesn't look likely.
