  • Need a proper keeper

    and fast.

Cerny is nowhere near good enough. I fear this could really affect our season if Kenny is out for 2 months. He is always liable to a mistake, poor on crosses, doesn't communicate and hasn't played competitively for 18 months.

Harsh considering how good he was when he first arrived but currently a fair assessment if I'm honest.

Based upon...? 1 game vs Norwich? If thats the case then it could be argued Anton Ferdinand should be shipped out too?

I see your point mate but I think it's unfair to right the bloke off after 1 game (in which he did some very good things also, that people refuse to acknowledge).

I like cerny, think he's a good back up keeper but let's be honest, we need a cudicini type loan, Im all for giving cerny support but truth is, he isn't active enough in te box, this will come up if he has a run of games

Although I am defending him (as he has only played the 1 game); I would certainly feel alot more confident getting a more established PL keeper in on loan until Paddy is fit.

As you say Mellow, Cudicini would be ideal. Or Gomes? Spurs dont need all 3... That's just greedy

Apart from the Watford and Leeds games at the end of last season of course?

Pointless debate. We have been told we can't have one, so the choice is between Cerny or - - I don't know? - Joey Barton doning the gloves. In the meantime, fans should try getting behind the keeper we do have.

Thought we got Elvis out thereby we have to get one? That'd be the clever move anyway.

If Elvis has left the building, are we still not allowed one.

Not sure getting Elvis out is enough. Think Warno said he would have to pretend Cerny is seriously injured and he isnt prepared to lie - not sure why his conscience should suddenly be troubling him so late in the day, but there you go...

He was awful against Leeds though wasn't he?

The fact is Cerny has a chronic back complaint and our 1st and 2nd choice keepers are both out until Christmas. I really can't understand why the FA will not allow us an emergency loan, surely we have a legitimate reason?!!!

I wish we were allowed a loan as well but I honestly think that Cerny takes too much stick and some fans have short memories regarding that season he was excellent for us

Would I prefer a better keeper of course I would but lets all just get behind every player who wears the shirt at the moment

No not one game. I've never rated him, even in the championship. He will be tested far far more in the Premiership.

Don't under estimate the confidence that Kenny gives the back four as well, Cerny doesn't command the same respect. Hope we sign someone in January.

I genuinely think Kenny is in the top 4 keepers in the league.

Fair enough Kingy, not everybody agrees on players abilities.

I agree with what you say about Kenny; a commanding keeper brings so much more confidence to a defensive line. The sooner her gets his #### back into the side (excuse the pun ) the better! Until then though I'll back whoever has the shirt on, as Im sure a majority of us will .
