  • Why do QPR fans always need a scapegoat?

I simply cannot grasp why Cerny is getting so much stick when to be honest I cant really think when he has ever let us down in the past

Remember he won the Golden Gloves a couple of seasons back when he played in the first team for us and even beat Paddy Kenny that year for clean sheets

I see also that some from their armchairs are starting to question SWP`s performances which again is beyond me

I think it seems to be the way of things now with football. People seem to be more angry with defeats these days as oppossed to just disapointed, so they want people to blame.

He's been a model professional & a great servant for us

Same as you I find it odd people can't help but have to have someone to moan about.

He isn't anywhere near Kenny's level but he is man enough to step in at the age of 37, having not kicked a competitive ball in ages. That's without mentioning his good mental attitude in that he knows he is only playing because Paddy can't.

Just because he has been a model pro and a good servant to the club, that does not make him a good keeper and Elvis would be no better and at least he has a future to play for.

Also on that criteria, being a model pro and a good servant, why do we not play Gallen and Bircham ?

Paul that's utter b o l l o c k s... Comparison is ridiculous. He has made a living in the prem championship for a long time.. He's nowhere near as bad as people are saying.. He's no kenny but he's what we have got so that's that.. Will be supporting him everygame he plays for us.

As for SWP he started well specially against Newcastle and Wolves, then I felt he lost he appetite perhaps he has been used out of his natural position. His is good in dribbling but most of his final shots either get blocked or end up off target.

"Feel sorry for the bloke. Fancy your manager going on a rant because he has no option but to play you"

This was posted by Brighton an another thread and says it all really.

This is our squad now till January, get behind anyone who pulls on the shirt. Enjoy supporting our team in the Prem, we've waited a long time for this. Honestly, it seems some people are only happy when they are whinging and critisizing.

He just needs an opportunity to shake off the "rust"...a run of games will do him good and he won't let us down.

Paul I know you are an expert at turning virtually any point made into a negative but this has to go down as one of your worst.

Maybe I should have added to my original point I think he is a good capable keeper. Elvis better than him? Deary me Paul. Cerny is an experienced former International goalkeeper who has played at the top level for most of his career. To say a kid who's never made a league start for us is a better keeper is shocking.

Keepers are known to be very capable into their late 30's early 40's. I have full faith in Radek & thought he done well Saturday.

Ric, you think he is a good keeper, I don't and I hope that's allowed or do I have to agree with what you say, to keep in with the watrb.com regulars.

Also, this is your problem (and others), when I post something on whatever subject, 90% of the time you cant wait to have a go, you read things that are not there. I never said Elvis was better did I, I clearly said he would be "no better but at least he had a future to play for", which is massively different.

Warnock clearly rates Cerny higher than Putnins, so frankly any debate about the former being retained over the later is irrelevant

Having seen both due to attendance at various reserve games and other (shall we say) sessions since Putnins arrival, I can tell you that Cerny is the infinitely better option. I'm not going into details and I'm not divulging anything but, before anyone chirps up, yes I am qualified to make that statement
