For those travelling by car, South Liverpool Parkway Station has a big car park. Then local train to Sandhills Station 19Mins Then free Fotball bus to ground.

No. You will have to get the train back.

South Liverpool Parkway is in South Liverpool (obviously) so is nowhere near the ground. People use it to get busses to John Lennon Airport. Nobody would expect football supporters to use it therefore no hassle.

The soccer bus isn't free. At Parkway when buying a rtn train ticket to Sandhills tell them to add soccerbus to the journey - it'll add about £1.50 to total I think and gets you the bus to/from Anfield. Alternatively, you can just pay cash on the bus but it costs a bit more.
Liverpool South Parkway is bright, modern, clean and safe.... it's a sort of portal to the Airport so it's kept spic 'n span for tourists with plenty of staff on duty etc. No probs at all leaving cars there.

This for me is THE away day of the season and it really hammers home that we are back in the big boys league !!

Forget Arsenal , Man u , Chel**** etc

During the 80's Liverpool were THE team and somehow even though they were dominant for a decade they didn't feel like a Man City, chelsc um or Man Utd do now .

They were the club that you measured yourself against before the money from the prem and the prima donnas you see now.

Alaways used to be a belting ( in more ways than one !) day out , good banter with the locals , the odd run in at lime st station and a proper football ground .

                            Can't f ing wait !!!
