I have not bought more than 5 newspapers for myself in the last 6 years, and that's a fact. They are s.cum of the highest level, and have no problem in ruining someone's life in order to sell a story.

As a nation, I am not alone in this. Many take my stance, so it's wrong to tar us all with that brush of loving a gossip. Gossip is one thing, but a scandal to ruin another person doesn't interest me in the slightest. I wouldn't wish this sort of tragedy on any man, regardless of how much I hated them.

Is homosexuality still such a stigma in the UK that it can drive one to suicide if discovered? I find this strange.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

If this turns out to be the reason, then I think 99% of the nation couldn't care less as it's nothing to do with us, but on a personal level to himself, that may not have helped hm come to turms with it.

Not saying this is the reason at all. Just that some people can't deal with their own personal problem as much as others.

Whatever the problem, nothing makes a man like that deserve to lose his life.

Benny - there are other newspapers than the Sun etc. Not all spend their lives delving into people's private lives.

Granted, but they are far too intellectual for me, and don't have many pictures.

That is true, they pedal left wing propaganda, tell lies about how good the euro would be, promote the discredited climate change agenda instead and support nutters like Assange from wiki leaks, who is a threat to national securities around the world

I can relate to this; got fed up of tabloids and their love for publishing a double page spread on Jordan's latest conquest followed by the seemingly weekly story of a dog thats survived a 200ft cliff fall in Devon and so tried having a read of the Independant and Guardian... Needless to say the 8 page stories on global warming and the El Salvadorian government budget cuts soon made me part of the "I no longer buy papers" club.

Yep, you've really captured The Telegraph and The Times brilliantly there Paul, well done. And thanks for giving us all the benefit of your political views on a football forum.

Same here. Get most of my news from the wireless or online.

                        Terrible waste of trees anyway.

So let me get this right. You hate tabloid newspapers because they are too downmarket (intrusive etc). But you hate broadsheet newspapers because they are too difficult to read. Hmm. It wouldn't be easy launching a newspaper to fit Benny's tastes...

Pervert. Woman shouldn't be exploited by males for their looks, and it especially shouldnt be printed for all sundry to see.
But on a lighter note; this young lady has a cracking bum, dontcha think?

To feel that you can't go on, and that somehow this act takes the pain away is a desperation I don't want to imagine, if it is suicide as rumoured. Really very sad at only 42, what an utter waste. If it is media pressure, then shame on them.

Personally, the day after Lady Di died in that Paris car crash when being chased by papparazzi, I stopped buying newspapers, and I haven't bought one since. The only thing believable in a paper is the date on the front page.

It's not the newspapers fault really, they are only exploiting the markets hunger for gossip stories. It's us humans that are to blame, reading this stuff to give us a glimpse into the lifestyles of celebs, in order to escape our own stressful lives for a few minutes, and dream. Its just the way the world is now.
