Wouldn't a group have bought all their tickets at the same time so they could make sure they are all attending the game?

It's must saying that to cover themselves. If someone buys a family ticket and tries to get four adults in on the day, they've got no leg to stand on. I'm sure there are plenty who'd try it on.
