Think you need to go through this thread again.

You've made it more than clear you would not engage someone should they abuse you or your family as you are a GROWN UP.

Fair play to you, everyone to their own I suppose.

Depends what you mean by abuse. Shouting abuse? Not worth worrying about, much better to just walk away from. Showing your kids (not that I have any) that the best way to deal with verbal abuse is to respond with violence is not particularly helpful, I don't think.

Family under physical threat is a different story, do what you need to to get them away from danger.

It's like you're struggling to see the difference between verbal and physical abuse? Sticks and stones and all that.

Fortunately I've never been in either situation. Luck?

As I said fair enough everyone to their own.

Personally if someone wants to call me a c-unt & i get the opportunity I am belting them.

Quick question. Were you born in the wild? Live in a cave? On an Island? Locked up & using a contraband mobile phone?

Gone through your whole life and not ONE row. Amazing.

Can't have kids, wife had cervical cancer and had to have a hysterectomy. Not even close to the point though.

I do have a family though, and it's not like kids makes you incapable of walking away from a **** verbally abusing you.

My point above absolutely still stands. Most people get through life without assaulting someone. And most people would defend their family (or anyone else tbf) from physical attack.

                    Is that so weird?

This thread made me laugh. Woke up in a bad mood. Bit better now. Coincidentally slept with a stripper from St.Albans. Not that is remotely an issue here. Either way, physical threats I'll react. Someone of no matter to me calling me names. Don't care. If it's sustained bullying then I'll react. Over 90 minutes over a football match...I won't react. It's the way I have understood society. Perhaps I'm wrong and should now go around fighting more.

Mate.firstly..my appologies and sympathies for you and the misus regarding the kidz thing.

Secondly..all points proven are still valid; personally I'd go with the violence / physical abuse option, but each to thier own, If yo are convinced, truely, that you're misis FEELS SAFE with you,,then you are to be commended...

like i say..i still dont agree with you , but if it works for you..good luck!

                              A fellow R's fan!!

You sound like a decent fella tbh Deepcut & as say I respect your stance on the matter.

We are all brought up on different sides of the fence so to speak so obviously views will be mixed.

As I say though fair play to you. Genuinely.
