  • Defoe in, Buz out?

Am rubbish at links so apologies if link doesn't work but there is an article on News Now in which Warno (kinda) confirms he would like Defoe. Article also hints that Buz is among the 25 under threat in Jan. Have to say am really disappointed as Buz was the best player we'd had in the Bush for years and has long been one of my faves, but I guess if Warno won't play him there's not much point his taking up a valuable space and have to back Warnock's judgement. Wd be nice if he gave him maybe one last chance tho.

Hints that Defoe and players of his ilk could be beyond our means also.

Pretty vague and non committal though, as you'd expect.

    Let's see what January brings.

I agree about Buz, who is class. He looked the most comfortable in the prem in the first few games, even more so than Faurlin at the time, and has not had a chance since.

His composure and technique are made for the prem and I think he'd a revelation if he got the games, much like Faurlin has become.

I'm baffled why Buzz has not had more game time. He is better than Smith he cold certainly do a great job in centre mid today for example. I just think it is sad because the style we play now would suit him perfectly. And we could well do with his dead ball expertise.

Ain't that the truth. Our collective shooting from free kicks around the edge of the box has been nothing short of embarassing....

Not to mention he has a cracking shot left or right foot and could strike from distance unexpected. AS you say he's made for our current style of play and can unlock doors aplenty. Even if Warnock fancied keeping the midfield tighter with Derry and Faurlin, i'd quite like to see buz in the hole behind a front man.

Mornin' J. I feel the same about Buz,but can't quite understand why he's so out of favour. He's had his injuries and the Magilton fiasco didn't help. His confidence has no doubt taken a bashing. His only hope is a 3 or 4 game run in the team to prove his undoubted ability, but I fear for his R's future. Its a shame as I've met him a couple of times and he's a charming bloke.I'd like nothing more (other than 3 points at Carrow Rd) than to see a starring role from Buz today (even if it is off the bench) given our injuries and Barton's suspension.

Buzz is a class act. Such a shame if he doesnt get a crack at the PL with us.

Defoe scored 5 for Spurs Ressies during the week and one today for the first team. Can't see him leaving Spuds, not for a fee we can afford anyway.

Personally, I'd prefer to see him on the pitch. Can't do too much in a hole
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I love Buz as much as the next man but are you guys telling me that you wouldn't be happy if the title of this thread comes true? Defoe in, Buz out. I'd be sad to see Buz go but you can't deny that's a progression in class of player.

And before anyone says it, I know they're different types of player and Buz can play midfield etc etc. My point stands though.

Not sure it needs to be an either/ or tho. If we do get rid of Buz in Jan he hasn't played much football for a long while now so we won't get much for him. Wd rather him than Derry as our reserve centre midfielder.
