Ah, I see, it's that good old habit of saying that anybody who criticises a player 'is getting on their backs', 'not supporting the team' etc.

I have watched Bradley Orr play countless times in both a QPR and Bristol City shirt. He is very solid at Championship level, but anyone can see that his skill and crossing abilities are limited. In the Premiership, one needs full-backs to provide an attacking threat as well as defensive cover and, frankly, I don't believe Orr is capable of causing Norwich problems down the flanks. As another poster has pointed out, clearly Warnock has felt the same, since he started Kieron Dyer in the right-back position against Bolton Wanderers.

Of course, I hope that, if Orr does play, he does his job well. However, unfortunately, I can't see it happening. Up against Norwich's in-form winger, Pilkington, he is likely to struggle, just as he did against Bolton on the opening day.

If Luke is that bad Newcastle have a right back stalling over a new contract... Danny Simpson, I know doesn't help in the immediate but maybe jan?
How far has Matt Connolly's fitness come?, he has played right back before.

Ive heard Bartons trying to persuade him into a move to Loftus Road.

You state many things which would be true in an ideal world, but we are not in that position. We are QPR and we don't have the likes of Rooney up front, Vidic at the back and Silva pulling the strings.

For most teams their FB's are there to defend. If they have some good periods in games they may have the licence to get forward, but many managers prevent that in the hope of keeping a tight line. Mourinho restricted his Chelsea FB's massively and they won the league.

We were a top Championship side that has added some decent new faces, not replaced the entire team, so as a result we will have some "Championship" standard players. Orr, like many until proven, will be classed as a Championship player, but i have confidence in him and he will be fine. He doesn't shy away from the ball, is confident in posession, can defend and does get forward... what exactly is the problem?

As for Norwich, since when were they anything to worry about when it comes to Prem standard, they are less proven than us given our signings. Also as for Pilkinton, yes he's done very well, but he was playing League 1 last year. Maybe if people were always so negative as to write people off before they do anything then he would never have been signed by Lambert.

Oh finally, back to Orr, you mention him struggling in the Bolton game.... Not sure i remember any blame on him for Cahill's worldie, Gabbidon's OG, or the deflected goal.... Also for an hour of that game we were the better side. If ever a result didn't tell the story that was it.

Sorry mate but I agree with Godfather. Even Norwich have Naughton bombing down the right and their left back - exposed against Walcott - has had good reviews on the whole this season, going forward as well as staying back. Both Swansea fullbacks get forward. That is the Prem League in 2011. I take your point about us having to accept what we have in an injury crisis, but I too am worried. It was us pushing down the flanks that unsettled Stoke, and Braders, solid though he is at the back, just can't do that. Still, looks like we might not have any alternative.

Hate, hate comments like this. He was brilliant at Everton along with Hogan who did well for his 20 minute or so cameo. Give the man a chance will you. He hasn't had a look in since Young came in!

We all know Luke Young can get up, proof was in the pudding last Saturday at Stoke.

Armand Traore does on the other wing when at LB but played LM last Saturday.

Not many options but if you play Hill and Orr.

We are relying on SWP and Traore to put a shift in. With Traore reportedly on pain-killing injections can he keep it up for much longer?

Mackie can take over from him on the left and Bothroyd coming back to partner HH with his Ballack-esque face mask?

Tempting fate saying Norwich haven't had a clean sheet all season and we have a decent enough away record this term?

I hope HH plays which I think he will....as he is having his "Agyemang" purple patch.

I know what you're saying, but i think you're talking up the opps teams too much. Not sure but guessing most of Norwich and Swansea FB's were playing for them last season (Naughton aside?) and becasue they haven't brought in loads of players are playing regular prem football and not disgracing themselves. Orr played a significant amount of the season for us last year in what was the best defence in the league, better than Norwich and Swansea, so i don't get the instant statements of fact that he's not good enough.
