As the ist and 2nd of jan are both bank holidays, does that mean we can't sign anyone till the 3rd, ie after Norwich at home, or will the FA be open?

The FA won't be open until the 3rd i expect, but that won't stop clubs doing deals, just means nothing can be ratified with the FA. That said, they may have somoene in to confirm receipt of the paperwork, which may be all that's required.

Transfers should be straightforward as Gianni won't be doing the paperwork!

imo the FA staff should be in from the 1st.That's when the window officially opens for business and they should be open too.

                Agreed.

Does anyone know for sure what actually happens? I'd like to know if we do sign anyone as early as possible if they can play against Norrrrwich or not? Thanks
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes
