I think a new left back is in order, and Armand moved to left wing permanently. Yes, I know he's only played there once for us, but he looks a natural. Blistering pace and can cross the ball, ask HH!

A short term option could be Wayne Bridge. Here comes the abuse!

Wayne Bridge isn't a bad shout IMO.

It was funny watching Clint on MOTD knee that Stoke player in the back when going up for a challenge then immediately pleading complete innocence and getting away with it.

The difference between his and Traore's crossing ability was really highlighted yesterday.

Clint is a great player to call in as back up when required & that's no disrespect to him, I'm sure he knows that's the best he can hope for the way we are progressing & the same goes for Shaun Derry so as mentioned above a new LB is vital & yes I'm all for Armand making that LW position his own.

Get that Ryan Bertrand in. Class young player.

Traore played at left wing for Portsmouth, so not new to him. Great game yesterday!

I can't wait to see the type of player Traore becomes in a few years if this is just a start.

                      Think we found a gem.

Even if only for the Chelsea game.

How about another left back like Mark Dennis

I mentioned him playing there early on in the season cos he gives a really good balance to the side with SWP on the right. Only problem is he'd have to drop back to left back in certain games if we were playing teams with a speedy right winger cos Clint couldnt cope with that. He played there a few times for Portsmouth a few years back and looked well impressive going forward. I'd like to see us get Andros Townsend from Spuds and that would make a formidable left side attacking partnership with him and Traore.

Good point mate. I will say though Clint coped admirably against Chelsea who got no spare change out of him at all. Sturridge, Mata, Mereiles etc are all pacey players.

What he hasn't got in pace Clint more than makes up for in positioning & nouse.
