Joey Barton half runs alot!

So many games this season I see stats of who runs the most during the games and pretty much every game Joey Barton has ran more then any other player (including the other team we're playing)

I'm so glad he's cleaned up his act as he's got so much talent, well played today everyone at QPR but Barton keeps impressing me

According to the EA footballing index he is our best player. 60th in the league at the moment i think. Next is Ferdinand.

I've noticed that too. He really puts in the mileage. One of the few genuine box to box midfielders around today.

Not really a stat I pay much attention too. If we were to have a lot of corners in a game then it would look as though our centre backs had covered loads of ground, when in reality they're just jogging up the pitch for the corner kick. More important what you do with the ball than the distance covered without it.

I know exactly what you're saying but I just wanted to point out the fact that our captain is running alot which means he's doing his job well as captain

Joey was superb yesterday, after the initial 10 minutes or so, when the whole team looked wobbly. Kenny had a few moments too...

He seems to be settling down now and his goal celebrations indicate he's genuinely happy. Notice how he jumped over the top of the players when we scored yesterday.

Yeah he runs a lot but he does narf give the ball away too. He could save himself a lot of yards if he stopped doing this so much. If he stopped doing that I think he'd probably be in the top 10 never mind the top 60. I still think he's a top player though and voiced my support for him when many on here were bitching about him.
