Unless you have a bow and arrow that is. Didn't like his attitude during the game at Fulham.

I agree. I know he was playing for the opposition but he looked like he was really wanting to wind the fans up when he scored.

Decent enough player but one injury away from another 6 months out unfortunately.

He did score 3 agaisnt us, and his strike last week in euro's was sublime. I'd take him for 2mil on that.

Andy Johnson is what imo a striker should be
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

                  Have to agree.

Obviously would much rather the Defoe rumour become reality, but if it wasnt for such a name being banded about I think most fans would be happy with AJ? His past record isnt great, but he is a PL striker and has been playing some great football this year. Would certainly get us a few goals?

We have a player like AJ already in DJ Campbell and if he was played in the same way AJ is played at Fulham, he would score goals and lots of them.

With Neil Warnock being here it wouldn't surprise me, hope you're right.

What I love about some people not wanting Andy Johnson is the fact that Norwich and Swansea would do anything to sign him and some of us are saying "Nah, not Johnson, Defoe!"

We're so lucky to have Fernandes and Amit

I like Johnson. I think he's better than Zamora and pretty close to Defoe. He has pace and is sharp, can play lone striker or in a 442, would def improve us if he keeps injury free.

My nagging problem is we seem to be going for 30+ year olds, players who have peaked and are probably now on the decline. Our average age is high anyway, and I would prefer to see us got for an early 20's aged hungry improving striker

Good point. Our starting 11 of late has an average age of just shy of 29! I would certainly like to see us linked with a leats a couple of younger (ie 24 or under) players.
