Clearly, Paladini loved QPR. That's plain for everyone to see. He was responsible for bringing in the money men to save the club, even though the money men in control were idiots. In the question of good decisions v monumental ****-ups, however, the ****-ups far outweigh the good decisions.

Personally, I thank Paladini from the bottom of my heart for being instrumental in me having a club to support today, as whether you love him or hate him, he is mainly responsible for saving the club. BUT I think QPR as a club will move forward much easier and much further without him. Far too many of those ****-ups for everyone's liking. So thank you GP, but it was time to go a long time ago.

It's poor, mate. You've got to laugh, though.

Still, those 11 saying ge did more good have to be on a wind up.

See option 2, "ambivalent", look it up if need be, or just take my word for it, the meaning is the same as your somewhat more colourful expression

[QUOTE=qblockpete;741206]You only have to ask 2 questions.

Where were we when he came to the club?

Where are we when he left the club?

                          Thats your answer

I understand your point that where were we when he arrived and where are we now. In essence it's the end (being in the premiership) justify the means argument. However for a forum it's a too simplistic and narrow view as certain
posters on this site see it differently in that their view is that means never justify the end and that morally dubious decision making, threats of point deduction, reputational damage to the club, ticket price hikes etc cannot be justified under any circumstances.
It was however felt by those in the latter camp that their views on this forum were at best worthless and bitter and at worst disloyal. This resulted in a polarised position between the two camps.
If however we accept the end game is important then the camp that was
unhappy with the paladini era probably had a valid point, as our new owners immediately noted that our club had distanced itself from the fan base and has made great efforts to reach out and bring the fans back on side.
So it's a complicated matter and not as simple as some wish it to be.
Anyway let's move forward and unite and thrash the Potters

I think he did more good than harm, looking back--but probably only just. He did help make us a bit of a laughing stock for a while but he came to love the club and I don't think we'd be where we are now without him all-in-all.

Before you get aload of stick mate I agree.

Not defending all his fook ups at all, but just generally having a view on the grand scheme of things (ie where we were when he joined and where we are now) and I, for one, wouldnt change it.

We could have had a genuine 100% honest chairman for those years, had no FA investigations etc but still be languishing in Div 2 or the Championship; I know what Id prefer.

All is well that ends well and all that...
