  • Do you think that......

the amount that we spend in January will hinge to some degree on the sale of Adel? I hope not because if Adel don't go til the latter stages of the month then we could be stuck for time and targets. Thoughts?

Think its fair enough that any business tries to earn a bit of money as well as spend it. Would have loved Adel to have been the main man and set the Prem alight but if for whatever reason he is not a central part of the manager's plans wd rather we spent the money we might get for him on a clinical finisher who might make the difference between staying up and going down. Personally I'd like to see a lot of departures in Jan - the more we can reduce the wage bill the more it will allow us to bring players in. Am sure a lot of discussions are already taking place.

The sales of Tarbs will be key in the overall spend. It will be the diffence in getting some real quality i.e. Defoe, Pav, Bassong, etc etc

Well his work ethics is terrible. I did always consider it a MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE between him and warno. Things have changed now and instead of Adel rowing in with the team for the bigger picture he seems intent on only thinking of himself. This could be somewhat tolerated in the Championship because we needed him. Now we require him to step up and be less of an induividual and he just dont seem to want to do that. The grass is always greener with him unfortunately and because of all this it means he became a liability. Sad but true.

In fairness to him I think he has become a bit more of a team player, passes a lot more etc but it seems to have blunted the brilliant stuff in the process. Always such thin margins in football - if a few of those early shots had gone in rather than hit the woodwork he might have cracked on but now he seems both lacking in confidence and full of his old arrogance when talking to the media - an odd combo.

Your right. Very easy to attack him but its a combination of things i guess, 1 thing is for sure tho, he wont be forgotten. Class when on it.

I thought the same then analysed him even closer. He is passing more because he can't beat your average Prem player, rather than trying to beat them and look poor. Sad but true. Bye Adel.

Tarbs was far too good for the CCC which he proved. Warnock knew he was key to us getting out of the division which is why he and the other players put up with his antics. Now he is surplus to requirements and should really be sold, if anyone will pay the money. Suspect we will get no more than 3-5 million for him, if we're lucky. I have no doubt he has the talent to succeed in the EPL but not the temperament which is such a shame.

Think we will spend either way but Taarabt sale will increase funds, could be the difference to spending £5 million over £10 million
