What was unique about the Estonia v Scotland World Cup Qualifier on 9th October 1996?
Wasn't it that Estonia didn't turn up? Scotland were the only team on the pitch, and kicked off, then the ref abandoned the game. All the Estonian team we're completely drunk from going out with Kirill the previous night!

Yes, Only Scotland and 1,000 of their supporters turned-up for the game at Tallinn's Kadrioru Stadium.

Scotland thought that FIFA would award them the game 3-0 by default, but a rematch in Monaco was played which resulted in a 0-0 draw.

After much debate with myself over this one, I'm going to put my neck on the line and say Argentina & Uruguay? With Argentina winning 18 times compared to U-r-Gay's 11?

I know for a fact though that the trophy was donated by the Scottish tea magnate Sir Thomas Lipton.
