Guidance for use of flags at Wembley Stadium
Wembley Stadium upholds the highest standards of Health and Safety. The following guidance is in line with the stadium’s grounds regulations. - We know that many supporters like to display flags at football matches and Wembley Stadium will always be as accommodating as possible.
- Flags are not generally confiscated, however the obstruction of gangways, access routes, exits and entrances, health and safety signage and stairways is strictly forbidden.
- In the event of an emergency we must have all access and exit points clear.
- Wembley Stadium reserves the right to confiscate flags if they are very large or may compromise public safety, obscure someone’s view, a camera position or if a flag carries offensive, discriminatory or inflammatory messaging.
- Flags more than 250cm in size at their widest or longest section will not be allowed and flagpoles greater than 1m in length will not allowed.
- Any articles that could potentially be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety are strictly prohibited.
- Permission must be sought in advance from the stadium and event owner to arrange use of the very large supporter flags that are designed to be passed over people's heads. In such cases the flag must be flame retardant and the organiser bringing the flag into the stadium will need to provide the appropriate H&S certification.
Entry to the Ground shall constitute acceptance of the Ground Regulations. Published by Wembley National Stadium Limited 2007Last edited by DeepcutHoop; 13-11-2011, 10:32 AM.

Don't see anything there about the St George's flag. Just some rules which are probably not much different than anywhere else in the country.
The stewards at Wembley actively discourage anyone taking any form of flag in the ground full stop and that is a discrace at our National stadium
Any other Country would welcome their fans being patriotic but not ours of course as the liberal PC brigade does not agree

You can be as patriotic as you like, but they correctly stop you from having a flag so big that it might get in the way of other people seeing the game, or rightly or wrongly depending on your point of view) the advertising hoardings which companies have paid a fortune to have in the national stadium. Perfectly sensible.
Outside of the tabloid newspaper stories, who's stopping you displaying the flag anywhere else, really? You can have a flagpole on the front of your house if you'd like. You can even take a flag that's 250cm wide into Wembley stadium, if you'd like. Shocking.

seriously...is this a joke or what....sure its not 'too round" or "the wrong colour"......?
if i was playing with / for the best team on the planet....."too bouncy" would not be an excuse.....!!
Now if the ground was too hard and made the ball bounce......

All previous balls were stitched, which allowed air in and out of the ball when it was struck. This one is completely sealed and has the properties of a rubber ball, that goes like a bullet, but has problem side-effects, like speed, bounce and skid.
Have you not noticed now that teams can't play long through balls with it as the players can't catch it before it goes out of play? Yes, and before you say it's the same for all teams, yes it is, but all players are struggling to control it as fast as they normally do with our normal league stitched ball.
Have you also not noticed that a good percentage of shots now are so badly off-target, that they are 50ft over the top of the goal? And this is regular now.
It affects game play so badly that that good teams like spain couldn't get their game going last night, or we would have been slaughtered. Good teams are seriously affected, bad teams, it doesn't make much difference. Even barcelona are having control problems with the ball in the CL.
That's why i'm trying to get a campaign going to have this ball kicked out. You can mock as much as you like, but I'll accept your possible "good luck with that" attitude, as I know I'm right.Last edited by Olly; 13-11-2011, 12:04 PM.

GG...in all seriousness...
I'm a qualified engineer and i accept and understand the physics and properties you are tying to explain...dont doubt the science behind it either...
and really, if you think that your campaign would benifirt the game, then good luck to you....
just an observation though...when the manufacturers, makers etc tried to produce a ball previously, do you think they were trying to produce a perfectly / constantly round object that lost minmal pressure and with minimum deformation when kicked? I'd say thats what we have and all other balls may have been inferior and an attempt to produce the current ball?..Maybe....?
Just a thought?
