I really think the LSA should produce merchandise based on that flag, it is that good. I would be proud to wear stuff based on that flag and who ever knows them well, should ask them to organise a design/idea completion.
Not quite sure how this is a defiant gesture against FIFA however, they were never going to ban the poppy from the stadium, the only restriction was on the kit, and they capitulated on that.
I respect the uproar against FIFA but I'm not sure about the merits.
The veterans/& those serving are still being treated like s***, poor accommodation, no job prospects, poor living standards. Cut backs, carriers without planes etc. But those in power are appalled by FIFAs stance!!!!!!!!
Has the poppy/FIFA issue been used as vehicle to distract attention from the genuine problem that our great veterans face?
Why should we be paying billions to bail out Europe & the bankers but have to rely on poppy sales to respect our true heroes? FFS use our taxes to make their lives comfortable
At leats 1 club is prepared to show our respect...............!!!!
A Spurs mate of mine had to apply three times to the English FA to get his flag with a Poppy in the ground yesterday
After originally being told that they would get back to him withing ten days (which would have been after the game) they finally gave him permission yesterday morning on condition he met with certain stewards at the turnstiles, produced a fire certificate and folded it in half
For some reason we must be the only Country in the World where you are not officially allowed to fly the flag of your Nation and where non English stewards are encouraged to take flags down so well done to HammersmithR in getting it up there
