That punch was unreal. Foreman, Ali, Norton, Spinks, Shavers all still going from that era.

Patterson, Liston, Cooper and Frazier all gone. It's a great shame.

                      i

I know that factomondo used to box so maybe he could give us a proper discription of smokie joe

as a man who dosnt know much about boxing i would describe smokie joe as a bit of a mike tyson,in terms of throwing loads of big punches but we need ex boxer facto to give us a more detailed account

but rest in peace smokie joe
where you got that punch from i just dont know
but love peace and haoppyness to all your kids and family
you go down as one of the greatest boxers in history

He was nothing like Tyson. Completely different style.

Also, I still see Tyson as in a league of his own on the heavyweight scene.

I only ever saw his last couple of poor fights live, but I have seen most of his other fights since on videos and he was unreal. Just a poor angry and raw powerful fighter, cant say ive seen anybody quite like him.

Seemed to genuinaly scare his opponents.
