Well Pete and I have an interested bet regarding Blackstock.
He will do well to hold his place in the side. Can't see him scoring more than 13I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I gotta admit i was a bit of a balckstock fan, although he frustrated me sometimes, for the past few years i have seen him as our best striker.
I just hope we manage to get someone in who will be suitable for this league! I know its wrong to write players off before they've even signed, but some of the names listed as replacements, or names ive read about on here ive never even heard of!
I guess its the unknown factor in some of the names being banded about that get to me and make me not want us to let blackstock go.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

so we're selling our top goalscorer and are going to replace him with another two bob italian dont they learn there lesson from last year sdc was useless but yet again we go and get an unproven italian forward who we'll probably just stroll around the park moaning about how physical the game is over here.
Also do we all believe that jim magilton has got anything to do with this transfer of the italian if it happens?

If we do not replace him with a PROVEN striker who we know can score goals regularly then it is a mistake.
Dexter is what 23? And we have left Helguson (in his 30's), Agyemang (isnt the scoring type), Vine (again not the scoring type) and Balanta (young and inexperienced).
Im not saying any of those players will not do well, because of course they could. But it just doesnt make sense to sell our best scoring striker who is still young in favour of the older strikers who cannot score.
Unless we replace him with a proven striker (not a unknown from lower leagues in other countries) it will be a big mistake. We already had one of the lowest scoring teams last season and we then go and sell the only one who actually scored some goals.
Doesnt make sense to me - whatever people think of him you cannot tell me he isnt worth keeping over the others as his stats of scoring are much much better than any of the others in recent years.Queens Park Rangers Til I Die!

we will need a target man and an old fashioned hold the ball up, ie a player with strength which apart from Dex we dont have.[/QUOTE]
Dex strength to hold the ball up. With the ball at his feet he reminds me a bit of bambi on ice, definately not strong enough to hold the ball up but can flick it on if we had a little quick guy with a bit of sense alongside him. Personally think HH will be ideal as the front man who can hold the ball upGod I miss cooke's pie & mash
