  • So Fernandes says we'll be building a new stadium in W12....but where?

Starting from bottom left up, all the options I can think off, apologies about the PDF...I have expanded the footprint off a potential new stadium.

1). Redevelop LR, but how? Always wondered if we could knock a couple of blocks down in White City, spin the pitch 90 degrees and redirect SAR around it. Never heard the idea mooted before and probably a good reason why but its pretty obvious we can't redevelop the ground in its present orientation.

2). The BBC TV Centre, starting to look like a real option though have always felt the land is too expensive

3). The old White City Stadium site and BBC Media Centre, this was mentioned recently but the impression I've got from workers employed there is that its not coming down?

4). Unigate - I'm under impression this land has already been sold?

5). Latymer Upper playing fields...could always relocate Jeremy and Tarquin to Barn Elms?

    6). West London Stadium...an option?

7). Scrubs...**** me we could build the Maracana on here but is it actually possible to develop this land?

He said last week that option 1 would definitely not be possible, it's been looked into and the costs required wouldn't be worth amount of extra seats that are possible.

TF already ruled out your option 1 on the basis that we could not gain sufficient extra space to warrant it

He mentioned on SSN yesterday that he was looking at 40K-45K capacity.

One like this Tony please if you're looking in.

Close to pitch, roof close option. Such a nice stadium, think I might have a semi.

Said somewhere the other day that if we got a new stadium he would like to retain what makes Loftus Road so great, mainly the fact the fans are so close to the pitch and right on top of you. If he did sanction a new stadium and the design was of that type it could be awesome.

Touch more legroom also please Tony….

                    Correct.

That model would be welcomed as long as it's tight and compact. 40k - a bit too much 25-30 would do. The model seems to be brilliant.

TF quoted he wanted a 40-45k stadium, and even though most think this is too big, we possibly don't have the same single mindedness of refusing to think about possible relegation, nor do we have the marketing skills that no doubt TF has access to, to make sure we fill it, which is why he is so wealthy, and we are just fans along for the journey. Enjoy, it's his risk.

Lille Stadium progress. Should open in 1 year apparently. http://stadiumporn.com/grand-stade-l...-lille-france/

The English would build that in half the time

Sorry, Lille stadium is a bit off the OP topic.

There are too many complications with option 1, unless we can dig down about 10 metres for the playing surface?
Can't imagine it will be the BBC site due to listed status, so will become a hotel imo.
Can't be too close to Westway due to possible traffic queueing on match days on this major road.
I like the Linford Christie site, but will noise be a problem to the hospital?
Which leads to scrubbs land being fav if building is permitted?
