  • Tony Fernandes....

Crikey what a guy... just had him on SSN and every time I hear him speak he impresses me... Very brief précis....

Spoken to Beckham's 'people' and it's a "long shot"... however infrastructure/facilities are more important than signing someone of the magnitude of DB....

Deffo gonna move but stay in W12...

Want to be a club that listens to the fans, players, staff etc and be a place where everyone is happy to come to especially the players....

Eulogising about Philip Beard who is another major 'signing' and as important as any marquee player IMHO.....

Fully supportive of Anton F but non-committal regarding any personal opinions but consistent and not unexpected.. dare say privately he thinks that Terry is vermin but keeping his thoughts close to his chest....

Amazing man who seems fully behind NW and will bankroll further signings in Jan.....

I looked up at the screen after Jay had put us 1 up to see Big Tony jumping around with a big cheesey grin on like the rest of us.

Love to buy him a glass or 3 of champagne

    RANGERS AND PROUD OF IT
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Love TF but don't like the idea of moving. Has to be very similar to LR, tight, compact..

I was exactly the same as you but then on talkSPORT (Friday I think it was) Tony said that he wants the new ground to be compact like Loftus Road

Tony and Neil are always a joy to listen to and on talkSPORT he made my day, we've got the best chairman of anyone in the Premier League including Chelsea's and Man City's as Tony cares so much! iHala Tony Fernandes
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

That changes it all - because that is what makes LR so special. Do you have a link to that interview? Must have missed it. Cheers for that by the way, important info there mate!

What a guy! Honest, caring and a proper football fan. Also imagine that; a brand new stadium that's just as tight and compact as LR. Arsenal should have done that to make it similar to their old Highbury ground.

Hate to be a party pooper, but building regulations specify a minimum distance between pitch and stands which means any new ground is not going to have that tight feeling.
More leg room will lose us the tight feeling too.
Wider seats will lose us the tight feeling as well.
New ground might be a necessity soon, but don't delude yourselves that we will keep what makes LR special in terms of tightness and proximity to the pitch.

What's really impressed me about TF is the speed at which he's got to work. As soon as he took over he gave NW some money to spend. Then he's set about identifying new training facilities, some work on the youth structure, and planning a new home for us. Not only that, he's going to give NW some money for new players in January.

He seems such a level headed man and you just know he's going to deliver the lot. The only time he loses the plot is when we score
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
