Hands Up Regarding with Taarabt

I felt he should be played at every opportunity, but the second half against Spurs and this game against Manchester City showed we are more of a "team" and have more unity, when he doesn't play. Think Barton in the centre shows him in a better light and a player like Faurlin is simply shining, without the added pressure of having to play short passes to Taarabt.

I really rate Taarabt and wish him every success, as on the playing side he made all the difference last season. I now believe he is not suited to the hustle and bustle of premiership and too much of an individual to have a long term future at the club.

The way we played yesterday, he won't fit into the team.
I don't hold with fans being "triumphal" about this though,
I think it's sad that a player with so much skill, and creativity
can't be "worked" into our team.
But after that performance we have to go forward with this formation
and style of play.

He'll always split the fans opinion.
And he may well come back and make those words look a bit foolish in the future, but I tend to think you may be right there.

I agree. I said it before, but the team don't look like they're interested with Taarabt on the pitch. His ways have clearly upset more of the squad than we'd like to believe. Without him, they look happy. I think that comes from knowing that every one of them will battle for every point possible.

Finally people are beginning to see what has been obvious since we signed him, lots of talent and actually has the natural physical attributes to be top draw. Unfortunately he has such an over inflated opinion of himself he simply puts little effort into either training or matches (other than when he has the ball etc). Got away with it in the Championship, although I doubt he would have such an affect again as a aging Robbie Savage showed.Add to that the complete lack of respect he shows to either fans or his team mates with his antics he is a re receipe for disaster.

No future at our club, even Warnocks had enough now as his dig during the post match interview highlighted above showed. Would be very surprised if he was really sick and to be honest will probably end up about 18 stone sitting in a cafe every afternoon telling everyone how he could have been the best player in the world.

I whole-heartedly agree Benny.Adel who? I never quite felt the same about him as many do.Talented,yes,but sulky,selfish,lost possession too often and not a team player.Leopards never change their spots.Give me Mackie anytime.Double break of the leg and has bounced back so well,and unlike Taarabt,appears proud to wear his Hoops.The team seem more vibrant without AT and not continuingly p*ssed of with his disruptive ways.January can't come quick enough for me,and any offer over say £5m for Taarabt,should be grabbed eagerly with both hands.

I totally agree that we looked a far better team. However, I hope (and I like to think all qpr fans hope) that Adel will take the next couple of weeks and have a long hard think about what he should do. Then he can come back and work his bloody #### off to get his place back. If he could stop the selfish attitude and work for the team then he should be one of the 4 midfielders in a 442. He can't play upfront because he's at his best running at opponents. If Adel can get rid of the attitude then a midfield of swp, barton, faurlin and adel is a match for most in this division...but attacking mind!

cant play i n midfield as will never trackback , unless we change our system to accomadate him again which we cant do now, its upfront or bench for immediate future
then his attitude will come in and if he disrupts needs to be moved on

He's still the most talented player we have at the Club.
Clearly he's not performing as we know he can. Tougher division with better opposition (and Managers). Confidence hit ? Still let's **** him off anyway.
It's the QPR way.

Personally, (and I went on record at the time), IF (and it's a BIG if) we got a bid over £10 last Summer, I would have sold him. But in a way I'm glad we didn't, because all that money would have gone to Spurs and Flavio's back pocket.
I strongly doubt we'll get more than a few million for him unless he sorts himself out.

Just to be clear, dropping him is not the whole reason for our better performances over the last 135 mins. Although it has played part.

Going 4-4-2 and dropping Derry and a rejuvenated Bothroyd & Helguson have worked wonders.

Derry, Barton & Faurlin don't fit into 4-4-2, sadly someone has to make way.
Bothroyd was never best suited to a lone striker role. He needs a partner up front, like he had at Cardiff - Chopra/Bellamy/etc.
