Are all the people who were saying they weren't sure if he's good enough for the premier league and the only reason people rate him is because he's from Argentina and cost 3mil are they converted now? Ali was amazing and proved yet again how good he is. Him and Barton work very well together and now I think Warnock knows 4 4 2 is the way forward.

The one disappointment for me today is seeing the papers giving MOTM to Toure or Silva -- other than their goals, both were eclipsed by Faurlin, and we ran CM for most of that match. It seems like a City player was going to get MOTM irrespective, and our performance was not really given the credit it deserved.
Has anyone read a report where we were given due credit?
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

The one thing I have noticed about faurlin is that he seems to listen and learn. I remember him stupidly going for a defence spitting pass a couple of season ago at the end of a match, and the oppo going up the other end and equalising. Not a chance now. I think he shows that with talent AND a great attitude, you can really reach your potential. I wish Adel would watch and grow up. As far as I am concerned, he should not get back in the team now. Sell him, use the money to keep Ali and get in a quality winger.
What sort of "quality"? Of what kind of standard? What attributes?

Sorry, but I hate the football-speak word "quality" because it tells us nothing of the characteristics of the "quality".

I remember reading something a while back where Joey Barton said he hadn't realised how good AF was.

                    A real midfield gem.

Every QPR fan knows that Ali Faurlin had the potential to step up and perform at Prem level but yesterday he took that to another level. He was world class in every sense against arguably (barca aside) the best team in the world.

Ali never reached that level in the Championship so now the big test is to perform consistently as close that level as is possible.

His passing was sublime, first touch delicate and matched with bundles of skill. Like someone said in an earlier post.... the best performance by individual QPR player in my lifetime.

Last week it was mentioned Ali was lightweight by a few and he'd need to develop to achieve in the Prem. Personally if you hack it in the Championship he'll be just fine and yesterday with JB playing central it was nothing he needed to worry about.

We find victory in defeat, Rangers are back whatever happens. We may be in a relegation battle this year, we may get thumped a few more times but enjoy it because the future under TF and the Mittals is going to be an exciting ride.

                          442 really does suit him

Yepp, agreed. His performance was out of this world last night.
At times we got problems on the break, but as Erik Thorsvedt did say in the studio in Norway; "City won the match but QPR won our hearts".
Peter Beagrie who was a guest in the studio and he agreed.

Interesting - missed that. Only ever seen quotes about our players by Barton saying pretty much the opposite about Adel. Good if he does appreciate Faurlin. Why don't we sing his name much tho?
